A bunch of Butters Specials.

Redshirt juniors who have already spent their 4 years: Rayshad Jackson, Luke Ancrum, and Kylan Johnson.

Three years guys who dont produce: Trash, McWilliams, Lenton, and Wells.

Id really like to see Taylor and Stiner on the outbound list.
I could see Brunson and Nick Smith leaving as well. 11 LBs seems way too high when you only have 2 of that group on the field at any time

About five or six of those linebackers will be gone.

Steele was a big get. We should really be able to cover next year. I thought that was the back breaker in the Georgia game. We had some turnovers and outside of Henderson, we couldn't cover shcit. Steele should give us another another lockdown corner and Hopefully Marco comes back ok and we'll 3 on the field that can really cover.

So it looks like we optimistically need room for:
Black
Elam
Hopefully 2 DL
MAR or Pickens
Greenard Grad Transfer
Reese Grad Transfer

So we need to cut 7, here are some candidates:
Trask
Wells
Ancrum
Kylan Johnson
RayRay Jackson
Brunson
Nick Smith
Brian Edwards
Jonathan Huggins
Quincy Lenton
Malik Davis - Only because with injuries he may be out of the rotation quick
TJ McCoy - doubt it, but with injuries and dropping off the depth chart may cause for pause
Slaton - perhaps fickle over PT

Plus Stewart and Dean at Safety.

I’m not ready to give up on Huggins (he’s only fresh) or Slaton (especially if we don’t sign anymore DTs). Davis might be injury prone, but if he’s not, he’s too talented to get rid of.

Houston

Lenton
Stiner

Trask
just curious why on Houston? I thought he did well this year and poised to make an impact next year.

Black trying to silence the doubters

Never liked Paul Patterson.

And don’t even get me started on Rachel N. Schultz.

Agree on all but Houston and Stiner. I think it’s too early to throw in the towel on Houston and Stiner did have some big plays for us this year. I’m all for being a bit more cutthroat moving forward, but those moves should be for people who have truly just wasted space and aren’t earning their keep. DS is a liability and I’d rather not see him on the field unless he improves immensely. But he did enough to warrant 4 years.

Wells in contrast has a charges to catches ratio of like 10:0. He should’ve been gone months ago because he doesn’t even seem appreciative of the fact that he’s here.

That I can’t forgive.
