I say hire him as an analyst and let him recruit behind the scenes.

Because he humiliated the university at every turn with his bumbling incompetence?

Besides, he really does serve as a janitor at a bank.
Lol what. He took his dream job and he wasn’t good at it. He built a hell of a talent base for Meyer to work with and beat Bobby the night they named the field after him. That right there is absolutely priceless and deserves its own trophy

How about the year we let FSU go right down the field and beat us at the end during the Swindle? We had no business losing that game, even with every call going against us.

As for recruiting, he was riding the coattails that Spurrier built here.

Such bullshyt. If he were a good coach, he would have succeeded.

Ask Oklahoma.

Such stupid internet forum "rule" groupthink BS.
If we had hired him before the SOS era, think he woulda been fired for his on field results? SOS set a standard we had never seen.

Honestly, why is this guy still coaching? ST's in Wisconsin? He's worth at least $10 million. Go enjoy life, live in a warm weather state, and relax. Same goes for Butters. How he landed on Harbaugh's staff as a WR coach is amazing....and then he gets ANOTHER D1 head coaching gig (from an AD who was a staffer at Alabama while he was there). I don't get it. First off, Butters is worth at least $10 million, he's a terrible football coach, he's lazy, and he's approaching 60 years old....plus he's a fat POS, so he's probably got a heart attack on the horizon. Why stay in the business? He's failed. He should use his UF money and buy a ranch in Montana never to be heard from again...

You’re too young to know. Not young enough to be considered young, just too young to have a clue.
8-4 was a good year before SOS raised the bar.
I think you and I have disagreed on about 200 things in a row now. We have completely opposite sports opinions.

Didn't used to be that way, I don't know what happened to you.

You guys are retarded. Had Zook come in before Spurrier, are you honestly trying to tell me he would have landed the same classes? Hell, he took over huge talent as it was or he would have won about 3 games in his first season.

If Zook is hired before Spurrier, he's a 4-8 coach for 2 or 3 years in a row before he's mercifully fired. His recruiting was a result of being a time-slot hit.

I find it amazing when an AD goes out and hires a coordinator who was fvkking terrible at being a coordinator, like Zook or Butters. I guess that is all they have in the factory reject aisle.
