With the way the rest of the conference is recruiting we'd need to be top 3 to be in the top 2. Spot 5 could realistically put us at 4th in the conference.

Of course this matters only if spot 2 is objectively better than spot 5 in the country. If the top 5 or 8 classes are all about the same then it comes down to coaching ability and some luck in player evaluation.

So FSU is clowning around about Henderson. Said he has grade issues and that’s why they backed off. Also said dad was demanding that they give his brother a scholarship too.

Well we’re tougher on admissions giving OVs than most Universities, so I feel comfortable that he is on schedule to qualify. What a bunch of Clowns they are
Their class is a frickin joke of cast offs, broken players, kids nobody wants, and then legacy kids or Jimbo recruits who are being forced to stay due to parents allegiances. If it wasn’t for the fact Lucas’ parents are friends with the Oline coach and the fact Dent and Fullers parents are big nole fans their class would be below Miami’s in the mid 30s. For them to act like they don’t want Arjei when their only WR recruit is a low 3 star who runs a 5.0 40 is laughable.

So should the recruiting sites allow for predictions/crystal balls on transfers? Should the have a separate section under recruiting for transfer decisions?

I never truly comprehended just how fast Demps was until he took that hand-off against UK in 2011 and went 80+ yds in what seem like about 8 seconds. That said, I agree with Neteng's assessment of him and Rainey. In case some of you never saw it, or just wanted to see it again:

Yeah, I remember that play but am so glad you reposted it cause:

the fact that he and Mullins no longer recruit that kind of back says it all.

they certainly learned from their mistakes even if you didn't

What mistake did I make? Cheering for my Gators????

I’m not saying the smurfs were Emmitt Smith level All Americans, but they WERE significant contributors to a National freakin Title. I don’t understand your stubborn insistence to bash players who gave us some memorable highlights and additions to the trophy case.

There are no test score requirements to be a clown. You just have to know how to put on makeup and take a pie to the face.

If they don't have big asses, the donk stays soft.

They were fun to watch when not frustrating against good teams. Tebow and Percy in the national title game averaged over 7.4 yards a carry collectively. Demps and Rainey averaged 2.0 ypc on 10 carries.

Very true. #1-5 or even 1-7 some years are pretty close together. The real issue is total number of bluechippers and beyond that, fit of the bluechippers to filling your needs, ie it's not just 7 Dbs and 4 rush ends and nothing else (Chimp).

Probably coming up.

But in reality the whole transfer process seems to be a week or so usually.

I am thankful for Demps and Rainey but they really should not have been bellcow backs. Change of pace, KR/PR. For all his Recruiting prowess and his high rated classes, there were some glaring misses in meeting needs and total busts in the QB department.

It is probably because they took away the pitch to the back and let Tebow have his yds. Which is what I would do. Nobody could stop Harvin.

I hope Dan does not run our Qbs for 900 yds/year. 400 yds is enough to keep the defense honest. After that you'll start losing talented backs.

That's true. Also, landing high ranked 3-stars is much better than landing barely ranked Butters specials. A 3-star ranked 350 overall vs. one ranked 985 is a bigger difference than a 4-star ranked 240 vs. a 3-star ranked 350. The class total is a good indicator and Clemson is your perfect example (having the #6 ranked composite but rarely signing inside the top 10). We only took a couple of Butters specials in this class (in regards to rankings). I'm wishing we had landed Dorlus though at this point.

Clemson doesn’t sign full classes every year either. So that needs to be considered
