Not sure where to put this....but TOS rumors are that Sal is leaving for the NFL (Cardinals DL job) within a few weeks.

well we aren’t even in it with anyone relevant but Moore so I guess it doesn’t really matter

I agree. He's a outstanding position coach...but he's also an old man who probably doesn't recruit as well as some of these younger coaches. His twitter account is very inactive. Next year's DL class needs to be huge.

Yes, two backs for 4 years each, so 3000 yards divided by 8, is terrible and atrocious for the featured backs in a running-based offense.

Rainey had over 3,000 yards himself. That’s a solid career, especially when 3 of them came with awful OC’s. Not terrible.

One or two guys like that are are fine on a roster, but Warrick Dunn being the notable exception, you don’t run them 20x a game or up the middle. Also, Rainey never really got thicker.

Maybe this is a move Mullen is kinda pushing for? Could go get a young stud recruiter finally

I'm with you - if you've got a guy that can legitimately hold up to the contact he's going to take from taking the handoff inside - that's the point I was trying to make (I think you were too to some degree). But if you burn the damn yard down it doesn't really matter that your plan worked. I think Toney could do the job, but I don't think he's a guy that can hold up to doing it on the regular. I do think MAR could be. He is bigger coming out of high school than Toney is after two years in the program. Using Toney like we did Percy risks Toney as a slot where I think he is guaranteed trouble.

How about this one: Gators come out in 00 with one of the EJ at QB. Jefferson at X, Grimes at Y, Toney at Z, Swain (or Copeland??..!!) at H, and MAR at F. MAR motions to the backfield. I imagine there would be some sleep lost, especially if EJ proved to be an efficient passer.

I’d be happy if we could keep these rumors from leaking when we need to lock down a couple DLinemen

So in all reality what made polite have a breakout year in your opinion...Grantham scheme savage and sunseri or just exclude him altogether? If the guy is a dud on the recruiting trail that’s one thing but I’m sure he’s a great coach

So who would you guys be happy with? I'm assuming we'd want someone with some Florida ties.
Would love to get Rodney Garner, top 10 recruiter and it would more than likely lock up Charles Moore. But auburn is his Alma mater. After that I would have no idea. Wish we had a former player out there that was a stud up and comer

Would love to replace English with Marquand Manuel as well
