1a and 1b. Nobody will ever win 4 straight SEC titles again. Nobody, not even Saban or that child abused pineapple they have at QB.

Terry Dean actually was QB vs Bama in '93. Another "weird". I think we all knew though that Danny was the future.

Wow, I never really thought about it as the single greatest QB in CFB of all time but yeah if you look at all the angles it would be pretty hard to argue.

Absolutely. Great on the field and even greater off the field. It's so weird that we only have 1 SEC and 1 NC with him as the starter. Crazy.

Who was the guy that got suspended for drunk driving the week of the ‘09 SEC game? He wasn’t the reason they lost that game but it seemed like it took the wind out of the defense.

DE Carlos Dunlap: Real Man of Genius.

Wasnt that also the beginning of the Billy G banging Shelley rumors?

Dunno. I didn’t follow that story closely. I remember the rumors starting and there were conflicting reports about whether it was urbs or Shelley looking for trouble. I don’t like seeing family get drug into that kind of mess, so I lost interest.

Azzani was the WR coach for only a year, correct? That would verify the timing of the story a bit.

Greatest CFB player...Tebow.

Greatest CFB QB....I'd take Danny in that position.

But as has been mentioned in numerous threads here and elsewhere--it's really a 1A & 1B answer.

So Percy beat Billy G, and Billy G responded by beating Shelley's vagina?
Percy beating Billy G was in the spring, I think. More like Billy G was with the team, got drunk too, and made a booty call, which unfortunately for him was detected.

In any event, Billy G was off to LSU like three days later. I forget, did he even coach the SECCG?

Not sure on that part, but I do remember it being leaked that Billy told Meyer he was leaving by putting it on a sticky note and leaving it on his desk. I don't even know why, but that always cracked me up. I just imagine Meyer's face and a quick crumbling of the note in disgust.

2007 defense was young and untested. 2009 team was just short of great, having felt the loss of both Mullen and Harvin.
... and the loss of Duncan.

I think Dunlap was the major reason we lost that game. We couldn't get a pass rush against Bammas very very mediocre QB who wound up having the game of his life.

If I am picking teams, I can't think of a player I would take before him in the history of the sport. Hershel or Bo would be the second choice. Could you imagine either one of them with Tebow in the backfield?

One of the biggest mistakes Meyer made was replacing Dan Mullen with the Daz as OC.
