When y'all review a show you're sorta supposed to offer a clue as to what the show is about.
Whoops

Damages is about Glenn close, aka Patty Hewes and her lawyer firm taking on billionaire Ted Danson, who is being accused of selling off his shares before his company collapsed, destroying the savings/retirement plans of thousands of his employees. Glenn close hires a young up and comer lawyer, Rose Byrn, who has a personal connection to someone who might of witnessed Danson spending a weekend with people who might have influenced him to dump his stocks. All hell breaks loose. Murder. Corruption. Cover up. And might Close be in on something? Who knows! Tune in! Same bat channel! Same bat time!

I just found this thread, I watch a ton on sh@t at the firestatation.
I just watched escape from dannemora on showtime, directed by Ben Stiller it was really good. Also watched deadwood on HBO. It's a western apx 20 years old, but it holds up. In fact they are about to remake a movie.
I dont think anyone mentioned billions on showtime. That has an awesome cast and the dialogue is amazing.
I recently watched another western on Netflix...longmire about a western sheriff ( looks like Brett favre) I liked that also

I just watched 3 episodes of Longmire. Its pretty good for an "episodic" TV series. By that I mean each episode is its own little case which gets solved at the end.

Still, the beauty of series like Deadwood or Breaking Bad is that its one long story with much, much deeper character development. You can't do that when you have to gin up a whole new story in every episode. I'll probably watch the rest of it because like I said, its good for what it is, but not at the same level of my favorite shows.

They’re making one! It’ll be a prequel about the French cop before the two seasons. It’ll still have him in it as the main actor. Not sure if it’s being filmed yet but yeah, man what a roller coaster those seasons were.
Those shows were nuts. Lmk if you find the prequel

I lean towards sc-fi. I think all of these are on Amazon now.
Altered Carbon is pretty good. Future world wherein your consciousness can be uploaded into another body so you can live forever. A special forces type dude is brought back after a couple 100 years and loaded in to a new "sleeve" to find his benefactors attempted killer. Lots of good full frontal nudity too.
Travelers: present day but some kind of apocalypse has happened in the future and travelers are sent back (by taking over bodies of people who are about to die) and are given missions to prevent whatever the future apocalypse was/is. The kicker is they have to live out the lives of whoever' body they took over. No nudity but one hell of a see through dress in episode one.
The Expanse: Awesome series. A few hundred years in the future when inter solar system space travel has been made possible by super efficient engines. So Mars is colonized and has grown large enough to have a military that rivals earth. The asteroid belt is also colonized. Lots of different plots going on against the back drop of Earth, Mars and the Belt going to war. Great character development and the science checks out.
BattleStar Gallactica: I put this in the top three of any series with Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad. Way in the future. Character driven. A war between Cylons (robots) and the reamaining humans after the cylons carry out a sneak attack. The kicker is that unbeknownst to the humans the cylons have developed the technology to look like humans and some may not even know they are a Cylon until they are awoken.

Loved that show...but having grew up vacationing there and my parents live there now their portrayal of the actual area and the lake are so off it bugs me but still a very solid show.

That is because, I think, the show is mostly filmed in Georgia. Lake Allatoona, I believe.

Well that and they make it out to be this kind of small lake with nothing but low income hicks living there. Some of that is true it’s very poor and some drug areas surrounding the area but it’s very big and surrounded by huge mansions and people with way to much money to spend. It’s not some quiet little lake it’s actually a big time party lake.
