We're at #8 according to Rivals, at #9 on the scout composite and at ESPN. This NOT a mediocre class by any reasonable definition. Perfect? No. A strong class we can build on? Absolutely. And now that the dead weight (recruiting-wise) has been pruned a bit, we should do really well in 2020 and 2021.

While it absolutely pains me to agree with Swonkey....this is a good, not great, class. Where are we ranked in the SEC? 4th? 5th? To achieve our goals, we need to be 1 or 2...consistently. Top 5 nationally - consistently.

I am impressed and excited with the “recovery” of this class, and 8 or 9 is above my expectations, but 8s and 9s won’t get us to the promised land. This “8 or 9” however, together with an exciting 2019 season, will get us to where we need to be IMO. I’m on the Mullen train.

I need a shower now.

You're insane. This team is a year removed from the worst coaching staff ever assembled in the NCAA. Under the circumstances, this was a great class.

When are dopes like you and Donkey going to realize it's not 2005 anymore? We've been awful for a decade, it's going to take time to get to perennial top-5 classes again. Saying "mehhhh" to the #9 ranked class (ahead of NC-winning Clemson, mind you) is ridiculous.

That's grading on a curve set by two all-time dim witted coaches.

We’re not going to get a number one class until Saban retires. That’s at least 3 to 4 years.

We made some pretty big strides on getting back into Palm Beach and other south Florida areas.

It looks like we’ve locked down Lakeland again.

And it looks like we are making all kinds of noise in Jacksonville this year.

You snowflake. The last 10 years makes you happy with 4th in the SEC? Do you need a safe space?

I said it was a good class (not mediocre like the ass), and it is. I also said I am happy with the end result (based on the recent history, and where we looked like we were heading), but to call this a “great” class is acceptance of a level I’m not willing to accept.

Yeah idk if he’s just frustrated or what

Isn't every true frosh in college football frustrated? They all have gone from being the main cog all of their lives to even the few who play to having to recruit against other very talented guys.

It wouldnt be a mediocre class for Kintucky or Memphis but that isnt the standard here. And average class for UF is #7 over the past 20 years or so. That is why it is mediocre.

There are some decent signs that we may well be signing a great class soon though.

This is a very good class and calling it something else doesn't change that fact. Also, pretending that this program wasn't on life support when DM came onboard, and that he doesn't still have a huge task ahead of him to revive it, is just not realistic. Is this the end all be all of Gator recruiting? I sure as hell hope not. But expecting to scrape the last eight years off our shoes without some time and elbow grease is just setting ourselves up for disappointment. And to dismiss the potential of some of the great players we welcomed to Gator Nation today as being mediocre is not right either. We out-recruited Clemson for heavens sake. And are we really quibbling about the difference between #7 and #8 or #9? Really? Oh and for the record, Kentucky and Memphis would kill for a class like this.

I think we did better or at least as good as no's 3&4 in the SEC, more blue chips and 3's are very subjective. Ala and you know who a notch above.

Absolutely 100% YES, as we sit now. Now we can try to improve it.

A great class under the circumstances. There is a difference.
