If Grantham got the Bengals gig, I hope we reach out to Marquand Manuel. Might not want to do the college gig, but I think he’s going to be a great coordinator.

Hopefully that's the chronological order in which they interview, so that if they do proceed to Grantham, it means they've passed on MM and we can bring him home.

MM should stay away from the Bengals job, other than the Browns, the Bengals might be the worst run team in the NFL.

If you get a call from a 305 area code, pick up. They'd like to discuss your recent post.

As bad as the Dolphins are, would still say the Bengals are worse. Not by much, because the Dolphins management is horrid. Would say they are probably 3rd in the rankings of horrible ownership.

I dont believe that Bengals hire Grantham for a second, but they are the Bungles. However losing Grantham and hiring MM would be the dream ending to this first season.

Promoting Torian Gray is another fine outcome.

There are a lot of poorly run teams, owners just pocketingnthe profit, but you have to admire the consistency of Bengals and Browns.

No, I don't disagree. The two Ohio teams definitely set the bar pretty high. I do, however, think the Dolphins are heading into that elite category at a rapid pace, which is sad. By my count, this is 11 coaches since Shula's last year('94). So just over 2 years on average, mostly total gambles or the ugliest of retreads. It would be hard to script a worse quarter century of football.

I think Grantham stays.

Agree. There's talk (from both Rivals and 247 sites) that he finally wants to be a head coach. I think he stays here one more year and lands a head coaching gig. If Jeff Collins can get two D1 jobs, I think Grantham is definitely ready.

I think some may steer clear of him. He seems to be a hot head at times but personally I do like his attack style even if its over done at times. Beats the heck out of Sidehat and Randy. I know he still puts off a canine odor though..

Apparently he's getting $1.49M this year. Does the NFL even pay their coordinators that much?

If he is smart, he'd stick around here a few years and soak up as much offensive knowledge as he can from Mullen. DC to HC is a hard transition compared to OC to HC.

Pertaining to no one in particular, this is an interesting opinion. why do you feel being a head football coach is easier if you have been an OC vs. having been a DC??

They way the rules and mentalities are going more offensive in nature. And it's the current flavor of the NFL.
