Very exciting!! The girls make their debut in the newly renovated Katie Seashole Pressly stadium with an exhibition against the Japanese National Team. Good to see the girls finally show out in a beautiful stadium that is another jewel in the prestigious athletics crown of the University of Florida.

"The full-scale renovation features a 360-degree open concourse, increased seating capacity with chair-back seats, shade structures for fans, an elevated press box, on-site office space for coaches, expanded dugouts, a larger lounge and a new locker room. There will be berms in the outfield for general-admission seating".

For s second, I was excited.

Then I realized my excitement was about the left over Chicken Parm that was in the fridge.

Darn Wife better not eat my Chicken Parm.

They certainly deserve it. Love me some Gata softball.

In the twenty-one year history of the Florida Softball program, the team has won two Women's College World Series (WCWS) national championships, eight SEC regular season championships, four SEC tournament championships, and have made nine WCWS appearances.

Good Lawd ... why? It is friggin softball and college is the end of the line. What is wrong with what they got now?
The old stadium was not up to standards compared to other top softball programs, or even some average programs. They are on TV a lot and have brought a lot of positive publicity to the University of Florida. Just like any other sport, you have to spend money to maintain the level of excellenceto which we are accustomed. UF is the ONLY athletic program to finish in the Top 10 of all around athletic programs in the NCAA since they started measuring it. Last year we finished 3rd in the Director's Cup and are in the Top 5 more often than not.
