Exactly. My thought was won’t they all. The “coaches see me as the Buck” has become the defensive equivalent of “coaches tell me I’ll be the next Percy”

Well we are in heavy pursuit of this kid. High 4 star SDE and a few others. Has visited us twice and will be returning at some point, and Nayquon Wright and Hammond were his HS teammates.

Clearly we need more. Not really sure what the board is aside from Anaele but I’d assum we end up with 3-4 this class.

The people freaking out already in February are the same ones who said we’d finish below 20th in recruiting this last year. Just chill out.

We need the whole state from Okechobee to the Georgia border and dip into Miami and that area when there’s elite talent we need from there

The people freaking out already in February are the same ones who said we’d finish below 20th in recruiting this last year. Just chill out.

I assume that is pointed at me. Im not freaking out.

I said last season didnt matter. It didnt, but it was nice to end with momentum. Great to end with momentum.

I said recruiting was all that mattered. We failed to pull an elite class, but it wasnt a terrible class. And we ended with momentum there too. Mullinz made moves to address the two problem areas.

The fact that we are developing roster balance issues is what it is. Mullinz noted the priblems himself.

Im of course being the reality check for some silly pumpers making "best class ever" type comments. Reality is where I live. Im a thinker not a feeler.

However, I feel more confident than I have since probably 2005.

Some of those from the other schools in the state will likely be losing some of that talent -- if they are in-state we should be plucking them right off those programs' rotting vines.

This indicates why the Miami game could be so huge. It isn't going to be enough to beat them - our boys need to leave no doubt that going to Dah U is going to be a three year exercise in endless sadness for these top kids.

It's also very early, most teams have less than 7 commits right now.

247 updates their rankings on the 27th, which will change the 247 composite, so we'll see the rankings change again next week. Some of our kids will get bumps, like Griffis. Hopefully Beck commits soon to get the QB in the class locked down.

Totally agree and I am glad that Mullen not only sees it that way, too, he was public about it - he's 2/3 of the way there, now he just needs to follow through on rectifying that imbalance. I have much less doubt than 12 months ago that he can.

It is critical that he lock down this year's class as an elite one, to build back the deficit left by Butters on the talent depth front, something that will have to show up on the field eventually, maybe in Mullen's third season.
