FL represented real well there among the more populated states. Georgia would need 28 to have the same number compared to the FL population.

I think I read one time Miss and Louisiana put the most players in the NFL compared to their population but those 2 states and also Georgia have a much higher African-American population % wise than Florida does.

Seems to show our recruiters should look for the best in Florida >> Texas >> Georgia.
UF should be "stealing" from Georgia and not allow UGa to steal our best.

I’ve been saying it for years...each class, get 16-18 guys from the top 100-150 players in Florida, in about equal proportion (2 of the top 10 guys, 2 of the 11-20, etc.) and then cherry pick some guys from GA, the Carolinas. Louisiana, Ohio, etc. to fill out the other 7-10 players and we’ll be golden on the recruiting trail. Forget California and some of the far flung places the staff has wasted time the past several years. Own Florida. Do this a couple years in a row and get good results on the field and next thing you know, we’ll start getting a disproportionate amount of our FL kids from the top 50 range and fewer from #100-150.

We turn to a geographically far off recruit if that recruit is 4*- 5* and if he's made remarks favoring UF.
Other than that rarity, time & brain-cells should be poured into brain-selling good ole Florida boys.

Well the combine has started and the first things I have found are RB measurements.

Scarlett showed up at 5'10 and five-eights inches weighing 208 lbs. His hands were a tad small at 8 at seven-eights inches. His arms were 30 and five-eights inches.

Ivey is listed as having the longest arms of the offensive linemen - he appears to be the only O lineman that measures over 36 inches. Some of the D linemen will probably have crazy long arms.

That may well help him. All three of the UF OL at the combine have good measurements.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised too, but UF listed him at 5'11" and 210 lbs:

and that seems to be pretty much on the nose.

Definitely ripped but I don't think even bodybuilders drop below about 4% for competition. The electric pulse reader or the most accurate water dunking wouldn't show someone at 1.6% bodyfat unless they were literally about to die I think.
