I'm sure they're guilty of it. It is after all a state university in one of the most corrupted states in the country. Remember a couple years back when it came out that they were near academic bankruptcy?

There were people on TigerDroppings back in November saying that there was a link between Funes, LSU sports, and the embezzlement and most people were saying they were crazy. But it turns out the crazy ones were right. The hospital is a major supporter of LSU athletics and I believe they have a box at Tiger Stadium.

I work for this hospital system and know almost all of the people involved in this mess. Funes deserves everything they throw at him, but there are a lot of other good people suffering because of his greed.

If Ole Piss didn’t get the death penalty for a couple of years, and they didn’t touch pOSU or USCw for their bs, on top of Miami and UNC and their nonsense, this will be a big nothing burger.

Except they're in the SEC West and in direct competition with the NCAA's favorite child Bama.

So the Feds released the bill of information on this case yesterday. The bagman section says: "The defendant's scheme also included the following: a. causing and/or approving dozens of payments to individuals who did little to no work for the Foundation but to whom the defendant wanted to provide financial assistance, including Individual C, who received approximately $180,000 in Foundation funds." The full text is here: https://bloximages.newyork1.vip.tow...11e9-9318-dfccb348bec0/5cf6f535a0b37.file.pdf

Apparently LSU was notified of this and has already notified the NCAA. But at least we now know how much LSU pays their players - $180,000.

This won't touch football. Too much money involved these days. They'll get a slap on the hand. Basketball may have to jump on the sword though.

LSU funneling money to recruits makes more sense than Ogre suddenly becoming Saban in recruiting.

Ogre was always a good recruiter and a moron of a coach.

Waaay back in the day he was viewed as Pete Carroll's best recruiter.

Yeah back when USC bought houses for the recruits families. So much easier to be the best recruiter when you can provide houses, cars and cash. Just sayin...

I never got the feeling listening to Org in a presser or just his general disposition that he was a man of integrity and high moral standard. Amirite?

Do they have charges to threaten the players with? if not it seems all you have to do now to avoid the NCAA sanctions is just for the player's family to refuse to cooperate.
