I was about 8 yrs old at my cousin's house in Lakeland Fla. She had a 1963 issue of Spiderman fighting the Vulture. I had never seen anything like it.

Here was this young super hero who joked while fighting these bizarre criminals with powers sometimes greater than his.
I was at once mesmerized and addicted. As you can see they cost 12¢ but 13¢ with the penny tax..............I would go to the drug store in Archer Fla with my quarter and buy the newest one and had change for the coke machine and buy a sprite for 10¢. From there it was on to Fantastic Four and sometimes Xmen and Iron Man. Nothing came close to Spiderman EXCEPT when I discovered Edgar R Burroughs Tarzan The Apeman. I wish Marvel could get the rights to the original Tarzan and do it the justice it deserves.........Not one movie has made the real Tarzan story showing him as he was written. HE didnt swing through the trees. He ran through the tops like the monkeys (who he didnt really care for)
If you haven’t seen Spider-Man: Homecoming yet, check it out. Michael Keaton plays a great Vulture.

Just got back, it was great. I laughed, I cried, I cheered and I almost pissed my pants because it was so damn long.

Superman flew around the world so fast that time went backwards again, didn't he?

As the old you, the baby you, or just the regular you?

Just got out from seeing it with my son, another Dad and his son (our kids are friends, duh). Felt longer than normal, but didn't drag, so 3h was ok. I didn't like what they did with a few of the characters, but it didn't ruin the film. All in all, a good wrap up of all threads and closure to this MCU, though I understand a few other individual character films will still come out (Spider-man Europe, perhaps Doc 2 and/or Black Widow and/or Guardians 3). Marvel fanboy gives it 8.5/10. Oh, and didn't like the overt girl power shot towards the end...gratuitous.

I didn't notice that shot, but there was a lot going on in that movie. I don't want to spoil things for anyone, but there are a lot of head-scratching moments now that I've had some time to reflect on the movie.

Not to spoil things, but (female) Capt Marvel steps up to save the day at one point, and someone is worried about her being able (HA! She's better than nearly all the other heroes in power and ability) and suddenly EVERY female in the film steps up beside her and someone says 'She has help'. No males, just females. And, it's not like any guy ever said anything misogynistic against her, or for the males, or for their own male self...and yet...this was necessary?

Same here. Lots that felt like they cut corners with no explanation. And if I think longer about them a) there's not another one so why would they have to explain anything to anyone, people are buying tickets anyway, and b) at 3h they would HAVE to cut some corners without explanation. But yeah, some things to scratch your head about if you slow down and think a bit.

It’s going to beat Avatar
Only thing stopping it is we’re headed into summer blockbuster season. The Pikachu movie, Godzilla, Aladdin, John Wick 3, Men in Black, Toy Story 4, etc. All of those movies are going to cut into Endgame’s possible box office numbers down the road. Avatar came out at Christmas and had the 3D boost, so it had virtually no competition for months after release.

Granted, it definitely helps that Endgame is going to be halfway to Avatar less than a week after release, but that second half is going to be a lot harder to get than the first.

So I saw it last night. I'm not really sure what I was expecting but after all the build up I guess I was expecting a little more than what I saw. I guess I'm not that big of a Marvel geek and didn't see all of the prequels like Capt. Marvel, Dr. Strange and I guess a couple Thor and Spiderman movies so that might have been part of it. I thought it was entertaining but a bit corny in some parts. And both myself and my buddy kind of looked at each other when Captain Marvel showed up late in the battle scene and flies right through that giant spaceship and destroys it. We were like, "Gee, would have been nice if she showed up a couple minutes earlier and that whole battle wouldn't have had to happen." o_O

They addressed that twice earlier in the movie. She’s off helping other planets around the galaxy/universe, that’s why she isn’t on Earth.

In a word disappointing... saw it with the Mrses yesterday afternoon. They tried to fill it to the brim with so much stuff, call backs to the comics, and call backs to the earlier films it got a little convoluted at times. I was glad to see some characters I had seen before the comics, but it also had some moments that felt also like the Disney forced "All-New All-Different Marvel" era which recently fell on its face (all-girl moment mentioned above). The excuse for Captain Marvel's late arrival was a joke... looked more like Marvel hedging their bets on whether or not Captain Marvel was going to do well. They didn't pay attention to their own timeline logic in the movie. The first two thirds of the movie was excellent, but the last third became a mess. It felt like a misfire, working so hard to fit everyone in and have those moments it became a mess.

I am excited about the next iteration of the Avengers (the group is always changing the source material). Also the other properties down the pipe, including the characters now available due to the Fox Merger.
