Son #1 was there last night vs Baylor and will be there Saturday too. This sport goes largely unnoticed. But they are in Orlando this weekend playing for a National Title, which I don't think they've ever won. They'll have to get past Texas in the Semi's on Saturday. If they do, they'll play the winner of UNC/Wake.

Yes, men’s, sorry just edited the titleMen’s? Women’s has won multiple titles.
The USTA campus there is pretty awesome, but I hate Orlando in general. Good little Italian place around the corner called Giovanni’s. There is also a route through the airport that if he can navigate, will open options for him. That location is not great logistically from northboundSon #1 was there last night vs Baylor and will be there Saturday too.
If you haven’t been to one of these college matches, it’s not quiet like pro tennis... fans and players yell and scream/cheer like it’s an SEC football game. It’s alao being televised on the Tennis Channel live Saturday (ch 400 on Dish).
His roommates Dad is a senior guy and former pro player at the USTA there. I’ll let him know about the Italian place, thanks! The USTA campus there is pretty awesome, but I hate Orlando in general. Johannes (Joe) told son #1 at beginning of season that if UF was ever going to win it all, it would be this year. With OSU going down, our path this weekend got easier and we beat WF in the regular season, so we’ll see.UF's women's tennis team has won 7 national titles, I believe. The men have never won one, nor have they ever played in the title match. This is the 3rd time they've been to the final 4. The other 2 times, 2000 & 2005, they lost in the semis.
The two comebacks from down a break in doubles completely destroyed Baylor mentallyThey dominated Baylor. They won the doubles point and the first set of four singles matches and came back to win the second on the other two before the match ended 4-0. GO GATORS

It’s Euro “gentleman” bull****. College matches are a blast, especially SEC ones. You could tell the announcers on Tennis channel last night were taken aback by it... especially the annoying lesbian with man voice. While I appreciate the skill professional tennis players have, they need to realize they are just hitting a bright yellow ball over a net and don't need absolute fvcing silence. They are not performing brain surgery or conducting Beethoven's 5th Symphony.

What I hate about golf. Major league baseball has tens of thousands screaming at the batter, ball going +90 with movement, but golfers step away when a bird chirps.
I’m with ya... but it’s also why a baseball player makes $20M+ a year and is in the HoF for being successful 33 times out of 100 attempts. Or a QB who’s “only” successful 5.5 times out of 10.Yes, try hitting a 95 mph fastball flying toward you with 50,000 screaming fans in your ear. 1/16th of an inch off could mean the difference between a fair ball or a foul, a World Series championship or a loss, or taking a shot in the ear hole or looking at strike three game over.
Golfers are hitting a stationary ball laying on the ground. Yes, it requires a hell of a lot of skill, but so does hitting a fastball. You don't see hitters complaining. Golfers are a bunch of pvssies too.
