The tow truck industry in Florida is an overly-protected and woefully under-regulated scam factory. I nearly got myself arrested (or my a$$ kicked) after one of those bastards towed my car literally across the street and charged me $75. I had parked behind a convenience store that was closed and the “No Parking” sign on the wall was covered by an overhanging tree limb.
It’s a hateful scam and the people who work it have to be or become the most jaded scum.
And there isn’t a thing anyone can do about it.

What about a bunch of people w/signs protesting on public property in front of the towing company and/or taking out notice in the newspaper to beware of this company. Get a lot of people to flood your local lawmakers with written protests. It may not change anything, but would give the company a headache.
I purchased a new washing machine from Sears outlet store & had to have the repairman out 3 times within the 1st month & found out I had been sold a demo. I requested another machine & was denied; thus, as I am retired, I got 3 of my friends and we made posters and walked on the sidewalk in front of the store for a couple of hours. I got a new washer and actually an upgrade @ no extra cost. Had that not worked, I was going to take them to small claims court.

Good for you. When my dad was still alive he bought a lemon riding mower from Sears and had a repair man out every other week until I got on the phone and gave them hell. They sent out a new engine and deck the following week.
