Nuff said.

Well, not really, let's have a pile on thread about these dudes, who couldn't stop telling us how great they were in the Swamp in '95, until they weren't -- heh heh. That's a shame.

Now, they only wish they could get pummeled like that in the Swamp again.

Pile away, fellas.

The Vols have talent. It's embarrassing that they aren't better than Mizzou every year. The East should be a three team race always.

They’ve been the poster child for shambles for the entire 21st century.

It is really an embarrassment that we are not better than Mizzou every year. Perhaps a new coach will fix this.

They really dont. back in the day they used to rely on getting talent from Alabama Georgia North Carolina and everywhere else. They get only leftovers now.

I dont see any reason to think things will change soon.

I tend to agree. There’s just no impetus for them to become a power again with their geographical limitations. They’ve really only thrived during periods when other regional powers—namely Alabama—were down and/or UF wasn’t a legitimate threat. And each of those scenarios will likely happen again to some degree. But it will be small windows that close quickly.

Add that to the dysfunction within their AD and you have a pretty tough uphill battle. Very similar to Nebraska in that they are great examples of how shifts in population and overall changes in football landscape are simply too much to overcome.

Unfortunate what happened to him. Murdered in cold blood by Lawrence Wright.

Here's another reason to hate tennrc

Yeah, I'm not suggesting that the vols were in bed with Al Qeada, I'm just also not prepared to say definitively that they weren't.

And I get the whole "15 of the 19 were from Saudi Arabia" thing, but you can't go bombing an "ally" like that, regardless of your suspicions of them. Dockett, on the other hand was from Atlanta and was living in tallahassee at the time. I see no reason for us not to have lobbed a few cruise missiles in each of those directions.

Oh well. What could've been.

Dockett was born in ATL, but grew up and played HS ball in the DC area (suburban MD). Guess you’ll need another cruise missle.
