And does he pull any ass?
my first reaction was

:shocked2:

but then I remembered he's rich and in California, so there's probably a chance. Those superficial whores would fvkk a snake if it was rich.

Interesting report. Just out of curiosity, what does he drink? And does he pull any ass?

I don't remember seeing him drink anything other than beer, except for the one time I noticed him drinking a clear liquor drink. That stood out to me, because I am a bourbon guy, and I think clear liquor is for boat drinks and old women.

It's an Irish sports pub, so the only time there's ever a lot of ladies in there is if a UFC PPV is playing, and I never saw him there on those nights. Regardless, I think the only ass that fat bastard could pull would be his own glute if he tried to run.

I think you are overestimating women here. Jabba the Hutt himself could (and did) pull tons of ass if he had money. And Chip has plenty of it.

What a bullet we dodged here.

Tony Pauline: Some smoke around Chip Kelly & UCLA parting ways | PFN

On the most recent episode of PFN’s Draft Insiders podcast, Tony Pauline noted that Chip Kelly and the UCLA Bruins could part ways at the end of the college football season. Kelly, who has led the Bruins to an underwhelming 3-6 record this season, might be eyeing the NFL as his next stop. If that is the case, UCLA may not stand in his way this time around.

Pauline had raised some eyebrows during the 3:40 PM update in the Week 13 Game Day Blog when he said, “…The Trojans hope to keep their top 25 ranking while the Bruins need a win in order not to guarantee another losing season in what could be the final year for Chip Kelly in Westwood…”

When co-host Andy Herman brought this topic up on the podcast a few days later, Pauline went into detail and speculated based on what he’s been hearing over the past year. At the 27:20 mark, the conversation around Kelly begins and continues through the 30:37 mark. Here’s what Pauline had to say about Kelly and UCLA.

“This is speculation on my behalf drawing on what I’ve heard over the past year. It may be a situation where they both part ways where he’s not fired, but leaves. The word last year at the NFL Combine was that Kelly tried to get out of his UCLA contract because he wanted to get back into the NFL.”

Pauline noted that this is what a couple of people on the West Coast told him, but he was never able to confirm it. However, as Pauline stated on the podcast, where there is smoke, there is fire.

“I heard one big reason why Kelly ended up returning to UCLA was because the buyout was too big for him. UCLA was going to force him to buy himself out after one year, so he said he’d return.”

You can listen to the podcast here or on your favorite podcast player by searching PFN Draft Insiders. You can also tune in by clicking the player below.

After their 0-3 start to the season, and then after their most recent loss to USC, Pauline wonders if they are headed in the right direction. Taking last season into consideration, Pauline speculated that UCLA probably wants to fire him, but the buyout would be too big.

However, because of Kelly’s rumored desire to get back into the NFL, and because of the possibility of UCLA wanting to fire him, they may decide to mutually part ways without a big payout.

When Herman questioned whether Kelly would return as head coach in the NFL, Pauline said he doesn’t think it would be as one based on his previous stints with the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers. Instead, it would likely be an offensive coordinator position.

“He’s still a very good quarterback coach and knows his offense, so if he’s happy being a coordinator, that might be a good fit for him and the team,” Pauline said.

Prior to his time at UCLA, Kelly was the head coach of the Eagles from 2013 – 2015 and then with the 49ers in 2016. Before that, he was the head coach of the Oregon Ducks from 2009 – 2012. There, he led the team to four consecutive bowl appearances, which included a trip to the 2011 BCS National Championship Game.

Now, with so many questions surrounding the team, we could be seeing the end of Kelly at UCLA once the college football season ends.

The ONLY reason Kelly is at UCLA is because he couldn't get an NFL job, even as an assistant. So he's expecting to have two horrible seasons there and the NFL will now hire him away?

I'm starting to think that toad is mentally ill.

What Kelly has done is even worse than Butters. He took a job he did not want, and raised the expectations there, knowing damn well his heart wasn't in it. He hasn't recruited at all, guaranteeing that UCLA will be trash for years to come after he leaves. How the hell can they still be paying him right now? FIRE HIM FOR CAUSE and don't give him another cent. Escort his fat ass off campus.

One of these schools has to make a stand on this kind of stuff. No one wants to fire a coach with cause.

The Kelly mystique turned out to be one big myth. Has any big-name hire bombed to the degree this pompous-ass chump has?

@Slevin nice work on this add and not starting a new thread!

I'm curious what happened on that plane when we went to see him in NH.

"Yeah, I'm not real serious about coaching anymore....not really interested in an SEC job. I think I'll take the UCLA gig, pocket some cash and move on..." - CK

"Umm....okay. We're heading back to Gainesville now." - SS

I wasn’t necessarily upset that we didn’t land him. It was more just the fact that this site broke what turned out to be a false story. That was kinda disappointing, ya know.

yeah, but Ox has now put safeguards in place to make sure no misinformation ever tarnishes the pages of GC ever again

I doubt anybody in the NFL will hire him as an OC now. We definitely dodged a bullet here

You ever notice there are some posters that do nothing but insult and bash Gatorchatter and its members, yet are here EVERY DAMN DAY? Always found it odd. You'd think they would find a site that would suit them better.
