I agree whole heartedly about Franks going down might force Mullen to open it up and play to the team strength, the WRs. I just hope Mullen doesn't try to force a square peg into a round hole with Trask

Watching Franks had become like watching Bortles. I’d had enough. He is a redshirt junior who isn’t very good. And I agree with you, I don’t think Mullen trusted him at all.

Nailed it. It's what I've been saying since first snap of opening game. Mediocre, undersized, undisciplined, poorly coached. Unless trask provides something intangible going fwd, it's gonna be rough once we get into the teeth of the schedule.

Nailed it with respect to Trask providing a spark and Mullen opening up the intermediate passing game. It was odd when the cameraman actually had to pan left to follow the flight of the ball downfield. I don’t get why, with all this receiver talent, we don’t use them. Hope you are correct that this causes Mullen to turn to page three of the playbook.

Summed up my feelings perfectly. I especially agree regarding the lack of discipline. Team makes too many undisciplined mistakes. Control those and we have decent defense. Then we need DBs to step up because they've been subpar.

I expect Trask is gonna make mistakes. He throws some ill-advised passes but he's chucking it downfield to our playmakers so let's hope that outweighs the bad. I expect to see some of Jones next week too. It is more exciting. Who knew?

Agree with the entire summation. One thing I'd add is that the football coaching community might be the most stubborn bunch of people on the planet. There is absolutely NO FKING WAY that he didn't know that Trask was head and shoulders better at reading the defense and making the right decision most of the time. As far as the LOS goes, I don't see it improving much and we'd better get busy on the recruiting trail to fix that problem. Watching Forsythe get punked by a DB to tackled the "never" elusive Perine on the screen last night was embarrassing. One thing you can bet money on is a package next week with EJ getting reps. So that will rear it's head probably inside the 20 or the 10 like we used to do with Tebow.

Great podcast @oxrageous
This was the first one I've ever listened to and it was really good. I'll listen more going forward.

I agree with all of your points except the one about the O line playing better. I attribute that to Trask. He was making his drop and getting the ball out. A couple of throws he made while a defender was bearing down on him. QBs have the ability to make everybody look good when they play in rhythm.

All I know is that Trask had all day back there. Perhaps UK simply wasn't being aggressive, but Trask wasn't pressured much. That is certain to change going forward.

So Mrs. G and I listened on our way to brunch this morning. After you finished, Mrs. G says “Exactly. This guy gets it. Perfect summation. What do you think?” I responded with some sort of affirmative comment; in my head however I was thinking, “Great; just what I need to be living with; an Ox disciple.”

I think Truth and Cover2 both nailed it with the quicker decision making and getting the ball out quicker. I can only remember about twice when he held on to the ball over a second and a half. That will pay huge dividends if he can continue to get the ball out quickly.

What she kept to herself was how sexy she thought the voice was. Your little munchkin voice doesn’t help you.
