Paul Finebaum: Florida just not tough enough to deal with remaining schedule

I haven't taken that tool seriously ever since he swore for MONTHS that Meyer was taking the ND job in 09 and repeatedly called him a liar for denying it.

It's 10 years later and Meyer has never coached at ND. And that azzhat has never apologized or admitted he was wrong.

Fvvk him, indeed.

I will wait and see. If they did not improve one bit then sure, thanks master of the obvious. However, I think we could see a different team next week.

Unfortunately, he is right

VOLS, Vandy, no way

Mizzou...maybe?

LSU, AUB, UGA...He could be right?

But we said that last year.

Now LSU ...IS HOT but we have time to develop the OL.

But I Truly believe we are better with Trask.

And maybe we may also see more packages with Jones.

And Trask is a Graduate...he can now go anywhere.

Hope CDM uses this as fuel. Maybe we could a nice LSU style upset over somebody but yeah realistically we're probably looking at 8-4.

Offensive line has been an issue at Florida for a long time and we'll never have a real consistent offense until that problem is fixed. We can get all the skill player we like, but the O-line is the key to beating the better teams. We are deep on the defensive line, but Kentucky handled us pretty well last night. Who knows how the rest of the season will go. After the KY loss last year nobody thought we would win 10 games and finish in the Top 10. Now after we beat KY in 2019 people are claiming the same thing. Georgia & LSU look better than us, maybe Auburn as well. Let's see how it plays out. I just know our line play on both sides of the ball must improve, we need to get our secondary healthy and figure out how best to get the ball more in the hands of our wideouts, who are the strength of the team.

Paul is an Alabama fan masquerading as a journalist. But, he is right about a lot. He said the first team to 17 would win the FL-Miami game. And we got there first, despite our struggles. He's right about the rest of the schedule. Anybody thinking Auburn, LSU or Georgia are going to be cake walks is delusional. We may have a chance at one of them though.

Who thinks those are cake walks? I’ve seen almost universal agreement that 1-2 in those games is BEST case scenario.

Don’t sleep on the voles. They beat the crap out of KY jelly last year and got their confidence back against the Nooga last week.

Even the biggest pumper can see we are not physical on either line of scrimmage.
It's a little confusing as far as the "O" line is concerned because they can pass block pretty decent but just don't have the drive to open up the running holes or if they do open up a hole it not long enough for our backs to find it.

Maybe, maybe not. Against Miami, UF looked plenty tough enough but not skilled enough. Against UTn-Martin, UF looked like it had a big talent edge and plenty of toughness. Against UK, UF looked like it won on skill not toughness. So three games and three different looks. I could imagine against UT-Knoxville UF looking tough again.

A lot of this is based on LSU scoring a bunch of points ON A BIG 12 OPPONENT. Again a big 12 opponent. High scoring games are not unusual in that league and defense is often scarce.

Chizik was saying something similar in the postgame. Said Florida just finds a way to win and he thought it spoke to the character of the team.
