He's right of course, I'm not getting into it with comment trolls. The only example he showed I thought was extremely mild. I did respond to one person with "You must be a blast at parties." I probably shouldn't have done that.

Personally I hate the comment system and would prefer to turn it off, but that would only hurt me. Comment sections on the internet have become a safe haven for the dregs of society to post whatever filth they want to. When ESPN turned off comments on all their articles, I thought it was one of the smartest things they've ever done.
