Or constrained us to a top 10. Who knows - maybe Trask was better last year too.
I remember Frank's taking a beating and running for tough first downs in the South Carolina game after Trask was hurt. My thoughts were, they'd killed Trask that day if he had started. Point being, Trask has to survive a game like this Saturday and winning it is a whole other obstacle.

Garage (sp) was highly regarded out of HS. Been waiting for him to show his potential. A team is only as good as it's oline and the guys we see this year are the guys we are going to see next year. And it's not like we're bringing in any studs in 2020. It's hard to have high expectations knowing what we've got to work with.

We are too damn respectful of seniority.

You play to win the game.

This is one of Mullens major problems and will hold him back for as long as he coaches this way. I'm convinced it's the reason Trask didn't get a fair opportunity last year or why pierce is not that starter right now. Mullen would rather play a player with experience than someone better but no experience. On the defensive side of the ball it don't matter as much. But offense you rarely see a Fr get a lot of playing time. Perine is the starter because he has the most experience he's clearly not the best back everyone sees it but it's the experience.

We could flip Bowman tomorrow and he could come in and have a great spring and rush for 175 yards in the spring game and would probably be redshirted because that's Mullens style. I know Copeland got injured early last year but he has shown signs of being a very good player yet they didn't get him reps last year and he was clearly in early October.

It will cost us big time recruits the more they see their not going to get a fair opportunity to play or start as a true freshman. I'd bet if Fields would have pulled the trigger for us last year he would not have played last year because Mullen would have still went with Frank's

Not sure this is true. Pierce had 70 carries as a freshman. The meat of this season hasnt even started. Now Mullen might definitely value experience, but it hasnt shown to be a problem

Mullen has shown to be hard headed in the past on playing the veteran QB over the better younger one but I think this O line stuff is just we are lacking there unless some not starting have improved a bunch in the last few months. Bleich is young and he got to start.

Trash OR EJ?

Gotta start working on a nickname for him.
Dude set a school record and you still insist on calling him trash.?. It’s not even remotely amusing. He’s been a good Gator. Period. You? You’ve been an Ass... and nothing but an ass, for your insistence on calling him that.... among other things...So I guess we have your nickname figured out. So you have that going for you....

If it makes your vagina bleed I will find a way to put it in every post.

You get your nickname and you dont fuss about it. That's the way it is in .mil, law enforcement, courthouses.

At one point in training my nickname was Worm, long before Dennis Rodman and no it wasn't meant to be a compliment. Later it was Moose, and not because I was good at busting down doors but because they were mocking my running style. It stuck with me throughout most of life, though sometimes it's Doc Moose. Of course for a while in the courthouse, I was just Gator, because I was so deep in enemy territory.

Even the nicknames that seem superficially cool, such as Legend (American sniper) , were really mocking someone initially.

You dont bytch, or it just gets that much worse.

Complaints about dislikes or nicknames beget more dislikes and increased use of nicknames. That’s SwampDonkey 101, my friend.
