Anyone watching NCSU SU? SU’s offense is giving me flashbacks to yesteryear. Barely moving and each time they do something well, they get a procedural penalty and kill the drive. Gross.

Dino Barbers should’ve taken a job last year. Luster is gone now...

See them almost give the game away by going full prevent? Syracuse hadn’t moved the ball all night then NCSU went into a shell. Really thought SU was gonna pull it off when they got the ball back with 2 mins left and started marching. Should’ve been a late hit on the QB after the false start/runoff too.

From the Picks:

COL @ -21.5 (13) ORE
USCe @ -25.5 (3) UGA
MissSt @ +6.5 TN
(6) OU @ +10.5 (11) TX
NMSt @ -10.5 CMU
(1) ALA @ +18.5 (24) aTm
F$U @ -27.5 (2) CLEM
WashSt @ -2.5 (18 ) AzSt
UNLV @ -16.5 VAN
TT @ -10.5 (22) BAY
OleMiss @ -8.5 MIZZ
ARK @ -6.5 KY
(10) PSU @ +2.5 (17) IOWA
USCw @ -10.5 (9) ND
NEB @ -6.5 MN
(7) UF @ -12.5 (5) LSU
HA @ -13.5 (14) BoiseSt
Wash @ +9.5 Az

= = = =

SEC games
Don't really care about USCe @ UGA, just hope for a blood bath with lots of injuries.
Don't really care about MsSt @ TN, can the teams get negative points?
ALA @ aTm may be worth a look, but expect ALA to cover. Idunno, part of me simply is curious about wtf Jimbo has going on there.
Don't really care about OleMiss @ MIZZ. I want a MIZZ win for both our SOS and to inflate their hopes, but I don't think OleMiss can do much.
Don't really care about ARK @ KY. I understand KY's QB2 is now injured as well, but I expect them to win.
UNLV @ -16.5 VAN...ha. I'm not sure VAN can score that much, even on UNLV, but ok...get the win any way you can.

Out of Conference
I expect OU to beat the hell out of TX, more than cover, and drop TX down to about 17 in the rankings.
NMSt is winless in forever. Their chances of beating the fighting sharkhumpers is near nil, but I know who I'm cheering for regardless.
F$U @ CLEM, I'm hoping for NO injuries to F$U (full strength when we play them, no excuses), just ego bruises and misplaced hope. CLEM rolls again.
TT @ -10.5 (22) BAY I still like TT from the old Leach days and pull for them just for fun. I'm taking them to win outright, based on feelings, logic be damned.
(10) PSU @ +2.5 (17) IOWA The Lions are somewhat untested, IMO and this can be a statement for them but Iowa is a tough venue for B1G teams. I'm not pulling for either team, don't care, but believe PSU comes away with the win.
USCw @ -10.5 (9) ND I hate ND, and they could be 10-11 pts better than USCw using QB2....but I hate ND.

Did not watch the NCST-SU game, but I am intrigued by the Dino Babers mention. Not that SU is an easy place to win and he had success in the MAC and was all the rage for about 10 minutes, , but in general I am fascinated how people get all whipped up into a frenzy by the coaches whose M O is too run 1000 plays a minute. Seems to me that they tend to be a flash in the pan more than be able to sustain. I find it more gimmicky, than truly being a complete coach, but I am sure there are exceptions.

I know the Pac 10 or 12 or however many teams they have is not great, but it is quite competitive and equal in terms of talent, sans UCLA of course, but it does give the potential for a decent game on Friday nites, so for that I appreciative.

BTW I watched a good bit of the APP ST-Louisiana direction school on Wed. and tho not a lot of scoring, there was some decent talent on the field, not necessarily at the skill spots but a few guys who might see Sundays in the future

I'm counting on App State beating the hell out of Muschamp! If SC loses that game there's almost no way they make a bowl (unless they get some upsets, which would include us). I just want to see Muschamp have another losing record and finally get put out on his ass!

Love to see Muschamp squirm after a loss, but I'd like to see him at USCe for many years.

As I watched bits and pieces of NCST and Syracuse, there were moments when 'Cuse actually gift wrapped opportunities for NCST to put them away early. Now I see how they got their rears handed to them by FSU.

His game and time management were atrocious last night. Certainly not the only thing that caused the loss but definitely didn’t help.

I like to watch the Red River Shootout to see the fried food they are eating at the State Fair of Texas.

My dad has 9 brothers and sisters...all are UT grads (he went to Iowa on a wrestling scholarship). Been to many UT games in the past and this one is one of the best atmospheres in college football. Really, only the Cocktail Party is comparable IMO.

Hook em Horns!

I have absolutely no investment in either team, but would love to attend the Red River Rivalry someday...maybe on the retirement tour the wife keeps talking about.

Your dad went to Iowa on a wrestling scholarship? That's pretty impressive. They've been a wrestling powerhouse for 50+ years.
