He is in the unique position of Gator history of having ABSOLUTE dumpster fires at Tinerc and Clown Town. Vandy has won like 7 in the last 10 vs Tinerc.

Don't act like ANYONE couldn't beat those two right now.
Chump lost to UT this year. So did MSU. Every coach gets some luck.

Bama wasn’t Saban Bama throughout most of Spurrier’s time. UGA wasn’t that good either. UT and FSU were very good.

UT and FSU were spiraling during Meyer’s years. UGA wasn’t that good. Bama was rising.

Not enough room for many top dogs each year. We aren’t a top dog but we play most of them.

Winners hate losing, especially to a rival. But it goes without saying, meaning you don’t have to announce it or even talk about it. It shows with everything you do. If there’s an off field mistake Mullen’s made it’s his talking about “winning” too much. We’ve all heard the ping-pong story about Spurrier a dozen times and from several people. But never him.

Mullen needs to decide if he wants to be a winner or not. Stop talking about it and just do it.
I hope he works out. I do. Because firing another mediocre coach just puts us that much farther down the Tinerc Used To Be rabbit hole.

Im just not sure how this is supposed to work out. They just fired the last guy in large part for demanding modern facilities and staff.

Im also not seeing much awareness that there is a talent/recruiting problem anyway. Or that our defense sucks. Or that the sideways offense sucks.

We've played 2 good teams all year. And were outmatched from start to finish on the field and the sideline both games. This is the reality of this staff.

You have been around here long enough to know that watching games and seeing them clearly does not always go over well. Although we did show more in the LSU game IMO, however in both we showed nothing on the defensive side of the ball, regardless of final margin.

I said 9-3 at the start of the year, losing to LSU and UGA and splitting with Barn/Mizzou. We're on course.

What is SO disappointing is that Beetle Bailey up in Athens has 5 star talent with a 2 star staff. We should be able to whip his ass, and can't.

A 2 star staff certainly outclasses a completely unrated staff every time.

BTW the Archie Bunker clip is pure gold.

The "2-star staff" bullsh*t has been out to bed tonight - at least as it stand against our staff. Just stop with that BS, it makes us look like sore losers. Kirby handed Dan his ass tonight - again.

Man oh man I had really started to sip on the we're back koolaid and this turd happens, kind of a reality check. Looking towards next year; because for all practical purposes our bubble just burst this year, and with the talent we're losing, next year could be PAINFUL. Even pulling a top 10 class this year won't bear fruit til year after next, and then we'll be back to " they're young wait til next year. The opportunity lost today was immense and very well may be the undoing of this staff in three years. IMO

SOS would have blamed himself and the coaches for not getting the team ready.

Greenard stated he played like ass and said it was unacceptable. All the coaches and many players should be echoing this and getting ready for next week.

Think a lot less of Coach after watching this. Taking care of details, striving for perfection, demanding excellence, coaching, teaching.......signs of good coaches. 7 points from tying.....wtf

Do tell. Greenard (a godsend) Zu (yes but been gone most of year) CJ(occasionally). With those we still are no Steel curtain on defense.

And anyone on offense is not a huge loss. Not saying any of them a re bad players, but no where near irreplaceable.

He actually said our 3rd down Defense was good! Go to :40
I'm fairly certain that wasn't what he was meaning to say. He's trying to talk about redzone defense, which is good, but it came out as if he was talking about the 3rd down defense everywhere else. He sets it straight a few moments later when he say's we couldn't get off the field on 3rd down & was a big one for us.

We couldn't get pressure with them today, I hope you are not contending that our depth behind them is acceptable, on offense potentially losing Swain , Hammond, Grimes, and Jefferson? I'm sure that won't hurt either? Copeland has shown flashes, but... Not to mention we really don't have any real inside defensive presence now, maybe there is help on the way I'm not aware of.

No I am not saying that we have studs in waiting but that we are not championship caliber with those guys so winning less games with less talent is about the same to me b/c I think the staff led by the HC is just always going to be around mediocre. I just think that RB's and WR's are easily replaceable. Look at how people were hyper ventilating that Toney was returning today like he was JC walking on water? Did toney even play? those guys are a dime a dozen. The defensive losses will be bigger but that happens every year. BTW was that Fat A$$ Slayton throwing his weight around today? He actually created some congestion in there. About time.

Valid points all, I'm just not feeling any addition buy substraction vibe, and I feel a less than mediocre season brewing. Mediocre being where we are now, which seems to be the new happy normal these days after the yellow Chiclets and Chump years sadly

I don't see how Mullen can survive this. Certainly a combination of Swonkster, FF, and IT would be able to turn this program around with their life experiences and coaching acumen.

He has been doing it all along and EVERY team dedicates two OL to him.

Grantham doesn't seem to think that's beneficial.
