Gators went on the road and beat the spread in getting their 9th win of the season. All in all a pretty good day in my book.

And to bring this thread full circle, had some friends over and we drank beer/bourbon, ate queso and chips and tacos, and are topping it off with wings tonight. I’m thoroughly enjoying this - including the prerequisite Donk (apparently banned again) melt down.

If our offensive line can block I'm a frikking astronaut. Another stellar game for 72.

Flighty "Jabbo" = astronaut & steller in one line. Good airing it out in post pattern.

That’s how to roll. In retrospect, the game wasn’t all that exciting but you wouldn’t have known it at my place. Just had a great time.

You’re probably right. He has no reason to keep up with the game. It makes way more sense to throw the ball into coverage than to the open area on the outside where only the WR can catch it.

8’s just a rough estimate. Could be a 10, 13, or 64.

It was an easy win

By your standards, not by mine. Now if we scored two or three more TDs in the first half, one or two more in the second, and did not have to struggle to find open receivers that would have been easy. See Vandy for a good example. An easy win gets the entire team to play late in the game, I don't remember seeing that here.

My standard is the perfection one, I understand it is high but only then do you achieve what say Bama, Clemson, OSU, and LSU are seeing today.

Or breaking EJ's rhythm when he's driving. He stays in on last FG drive, and it's a TD
That's certainly possible, but I still believe that Trask is the superior overall option at this point in time. At least a part of my exasperation with the handling of the QB rotation goes back to the ten years of sheer mediocrity we've experienced in general - and at QB in particular. IMO, Trask has far exceeded all expectations by any reasonable standard, and it flummoxes the hell out of me that we pulled the most productive QB we've had in years in a must win game that was still "losable."

With all due respect.....he sat for 8 years and it apparently didn’t break his rhythm. I don’t think a few snaps off effects him at all.

I suppose the possible loss of continuity and overall effectiveness, at what I perceived to be a pivotal moment, would be a better way to describe my concerns. I'm old and grouchy though so I even take my own opinions with a grain of salt these days. Take it for what it's worth - which may not be much.
