I usually prefer versions of songs by the original artist, but there are of course, always exceptions. To me the greatest cover of all time would be Jimi Hendrix’s version of All Along the Watchtower. If we want to note obscure ones as well, I’ll go with Raign’s version of another Bob Dylan classic: Knockin’ on Heavens Door.
Any thoughts on a well known one or perhaps an obscure one? As the man likes to say, discuss.

Bruce is a great song writer but I’ve never felt he could sing worth a **** . Manfred mann blinded by the light is probably my favorite cover .

Written by Dylan and made famous by the Byrds. Not sure if you would call this a cover since both Dylan and McGuinn are in this but with all the music gods that appear and add their flavor make this one of my favorites.
