4th and Kirby, 2nd and 26, bangs, etc

In his 4 seasons, he’s had blowout losses to Ole Miss, Lsu(2) and Auburn, lost to 6-6 Vu and 4-8 Usce, and of course has had the complete meltdowns twice against Alabama. Every one of his seasons have contained one or more humiliating moments.

The recruiting perfect storm will wane to a degree as at some point you have to be able to fulfill your promises. To date, he’s not, and I don’t see it getting any easier than the 3 years he just enjoyed. The fact that he had a ridiculous OL and DE, plus current NFL stars Chubb, Michel, Smith and Hardman, and didn’t win it all would be like us coming up short in 2008.

we may well look back on this loss as the straw that broke the camel's back

Eason, Fields, Nauta, Swift plus think of all the great defensive players they’ve had there as well.

And they’re still loaded. It’s not happening overnight. But if Fromm moves on, there’s already a huge piece to replace. I think much of the OL are upperclassmen, minus Mays, and they’ll lose part of the secondary. Not even getting into Pittman. They have a ton of talent, and are still recruiting well. But it will cool the a degree if they don’t take the next step, and this(or ‘17) was the year to do it, imo.

They were locked and loaded for awhile. Fromm created all sorts to dislocation. Who do they have after him?

obviously we had still have to overcome own mental obstacle w beating them but at this point I don't believe they believe in themselves for championship games etc. they quit plain and simple yesterday. even Shart quit. (of course Mullins quit vs the dwags himself.)

Theyve lost a lot of players to transfer.

Hopefully the gap will close.

Say what you want about Mullen and his inability so far to beat Kirby, but he sure as sh*t wouldn't have thrown his players under the bus like Kirby did last night. Recruits notice those kinds of things.

I think Kirby has missed his window. Bama was down this year. The East has been waaaay down for his 4 years as a head coach. Now he's losing valuable asst. coaches and fan support. And of course he lost his best QB a couple years ago and is stuck with a 50% passer and no receivers. I predict things heating up for him next season.

I think Kirby is a lot like Jimbo; he can recruit. The stars all aligned for Jimbo that one season and his teams were mostly competitive for one reason: he can recruit. As long as Kirby keeps stockpiling talent his teams will be competitive, usually have at least 10 wins, and compete for the SEC East & SEC title's. If he lands the 'once in a career' QB (like Jimbo did) you never know. Also, he could do like Orgeron and hire the right coordinators. Honestly, w/ Kirby - if he brings the offense into the 21st century they could be very good...because: talent.

The Kirbster is a millennial version of Les Miles and he needs to take the !@#$ visor off, he's not worthy.

He may eventually need that visor when walking around the pre-owned lot with customers.

He may have had that talent already but unlike Jimbo he ran him off. Fields is extremely good.

Yep. I was just talking to a buddy about that (Fields). If Kirby doesn't bring that offense into the 21st Century he's going to keep having games like that. Fields might win a Heisman at OSU. He also ran off Eason, who is a likely 1st rounder. Their QB room right now is sh*t. Beck will probably be a good college QB, but he's another statue (non running QB). Their other option is Stetson Bennett (a JUCO, former 2-star)?
