We and UGA each forced LSU to punt just twice.

Losing Greenard and Zuniga after the first play hurt, hard to say how much. And that speaks to the inexperienced & undersized depth at DE.
The nail in the coffin was against dwags. We punted constantly while I believe they broke a record for 3rd down conversions made. It's got to get fixed - a big part of it will be getting size and talent on the interior of the line. Without it they will just continue to gut punch us with the run game year after year.

The formula for beating the buttsniffers has been the same every year since I've been born. Stop their run game and its game over. Even their best QBs struggled mightily without a run game. The only times theyve ever beaten us, theyve been successful on the ground. Theyve had plenty of successful through the air losses against us - the common denominator is always the ground game. Georgia is a running team, always have been, its their DNA. They still run the same dang run first offense that herschell walker was running 30 years ago. Stop the run and beat them no matter the year. Why this seems like such a mystery to the staff is beyond me but Im optimistic they have figured it out and is why we are seeing lots of bigguns getting crooted this cycle.

Yea, only played two games this year. Funny how the Auburn game - one you predicted as a sure loss that would lead to a 7-5 record - .
Not sure I remember that. I do remember predicting a loss to Corndwags, and saying it wouldnt matter.

If memory serves me, I believe you had us with a record around .500 or so, maybe worse. So its unlikely you had the tiggers as a W.

Either way, you're still my favorite four-hoofed ass.

No... no. He is elite. We will be damn lucky if every team in the country isn't trying to hire him away.

Hard to argue with this. Ugly may have been pretty much without D'Andre Swift against LSU, but none of the other backs (including two former 5*s) did much of anything either. Without a running game, they were pretty pedestrian. 25 carries for 61 yards......

Go back and watch their games, not just against us but against anyone. Pick any loss the last 30 years. Every loss they have is because their run was stuffed. Now I'm not pretending like this is some revolutionary concept or anything. Most teams struggle considerably when they are forced to be 1 dimensional. However, dwags rely more on the run than most teams do so taking it away almost guarantees a victory, often times a very convincing one. Fromm looked and played like sht in October the whole game... but they won. I wonder why? He didnt look much different against us than Saturday night when LSU crushed them. I wonder what the difference was? :scratchchin:

Just stop the run. That's it.

Sooo, let's get Merlinistic with our DL. Teach them big strong guys to juggle. Maybe they can get an in-game competition for best stats. Of course, that will require an immense coaching attitude. Just get us where no SEC teams push us around. So Merlinize our OL too. Do big stuff while we have excellent QBs. For Pete's sake, add a champion RB.

I had a dream last night about how good this recruit-class works out and it made me happy ... it made Jenna Jaimeson happy too.
Were you happy to see Jenna too - or was that just a dream stick in your dream pocket?

I find it weird that this is the case but it does indeed appear to be true

I was actually agreeing with you and merely using the SEC CG as the most recent example.

Hate to pee in your wheaties but we held them to 119 yds rushing - 3rd worst rushing performance of the season. Fromm tossed 279 on us - his 3rd best game of the season. He also had a 96.9 passer rating - his highest of the season. Dude literally had his best game against us after we slowed Swift.

Now, they certainly outrushed us but that’s been a theme all year. That game came down to our inability to convert 3rd downs or stop them from converting.

That's somewhat true but somewhat misleading. I thought we had to over compensate to stop the run (Diabate was way over-matched) which led to some easy pass plays that normally would be more contested. I think Durty is right about beating ugly and Cubby.

That's his schtick. Go find some stats to argue anything with anyone. Just let him roll baby.
