Gator Baseball 2023 Gator Baseball Thread- CWS Bound

The TCU Pitcher Abeldt struck my son out twice in a high school game last year. To be fair, it was a sophomore facing a senior at the time. My son is now a PO thankfully, he was always a better pitcher than hitter ;>)

Gator Baseball 2023 Gator Baseball Thread- CWS Bound

You might want to follow the regular season a little more closely too. Iowa State doesn't have a baseball team. It's a little surprising some other big athletic programs don't either. Wisconsin, SMU, Tulsa, Syracuse, Colorado, and Colorado State are the most recognizable. Title IX I assume...

    Birthday Happy Birthday DallasTXGator!

Thanks everyone. I know I don't post much but I am here almost every day (I guess that makes me a lurker). You all help keep me sane in a world that gets crazier by the day.....

Gator Basketball ***Official Game Thread BBALL*** Florida @ Texas A&M

I will take anyone who is not Mike White. 350 Division 1 head coaches in 32 conferences (so 27 non Power 5 coaches will win their conference tournaments in the next month). How about calling a few of those coaches? For fuchs sake, this is the University of Florida. How often in the last few...

    Any Jeep Wrangler Owners Here?

Just got a Wrangler for my teenage son. I have been borrowing it some for this nice weather. We are realizing we need to wave to every passing Jeep to be polite. I told him to expect getting a duck or two left on his windshield. Like a little club we didn't know existed...

***OFFICIAL GAME THREAD: UF vs LSU***

Game of the Year for Mullin. With a win, 9-3 is likely. After UGA, the last 4 opponents have a combined losing record. That buys him another season and $7.6M. No way Stricklin fires him for 9-3. Mullin loves it because he doesn't have to coach an extra game in the SEC championship, he can...

Warning: Political Takes Jon Gruden FIRED for decade-old emails

3-2, 8-8, 7-9, 4-12 and no playoff appearances for $10M a year. Even Del Rio had a 12 win playoff year in his 3 years there before Gruden. The Raiders gladly accepted his resignation, hell they probably were behind the email searches in the first place....

He couldn't care less about winning championships. He has already earned generational wealth ($30M+) and is probably pretty happy whether they win or not. It's a healthy attitude for coaching high school sports. He won't change...

    Positioning for the Great Reset

No surprise, the equity markets don't care much about Afghanistan. The question is whether this increases the likelihood of a true Black Swan event (China invading Taiwan, Russia going into the Ukraine, or even a large domestic terrorist attack). Or another possibility is that Biden is now so...

    Positioning for the Great Reset

Any financial adviser that I could afford knows less than I do (at least regarding my specific situation). I have 2 finance degrees and 20 years in corporate finance. Not bragging. More pointing out that I don't have a clue most of the time and the last 10+ years have been unpredictable and...

Ah, I got it. So there is some premium when selling. That helps, but still the first 10% of gain is offset by the initial premium ...

    Precious Metals

Here's my problem with silver - spot price based on the commodity markets is about $23.50/oz today. The cheapest physical price is $27 to $28 or more depending on the round/bar. That's about a 15% to 20% premium.. I assume if I were to turn around and sell I would get roughly the spot price...
