I grew up in the DC area, which was (and still kinda is) a college football wasteland. The big college sport was basketball and football meant the Redskins. A new job transferred me to Atlanta in '87 where i instantly learned to despise UGA. Met a Gator in 1990 and married her two years later. As her family were all Gator fans and she and her sister were alums, becoming a Gator fan was a requirement of marriage. Already hating the Dawgs made for a smooth transition. As she has stuck with me through five moves including one overseas and a career that had crazy hours and was slightly dangerous, I have stuck with her and her Gators (despite Zook, Muschamp, and Butters). I have taken the conversion so seriously that last couple of years i have found myself closely following UF Softball! I am also a little disappointed, despite what out of state tuition would have cost us, my son has UF #3 on his list of prospective colleges and my daughter had no interest in UF at all. So, Go Gators, get up and go! UPDATE: Son committed to UF and will be starting there in the Fall. (Unfortunately, he's not a 300#+ 4* Defensive Tackle - Sorry.)
