I own a small business. I’m as passionate about it as possible. I have someone I should have fired last year because she’s not great at her job. I made the mistake of trying to improve her versus the expense of hiring and training again. It didn’t work. Fired her last month. Bad move by me to wait that long. But passion was always there.

You guys who are so eager to dump DM and replace him with God knows who need to be careful what you wish for. UM is almost certainly not coming back, thereby rendering the chances of actually improving the HC situation a long shot at best. Donkey is going to donkey, no surprises there. But exactly WTF is going on with the people who actually say things because they actually believe them is beyond me. Not trying to start any shytt, but seriously advocating firing DM at this juncture is just plain damn ridiculous - just saying.

Don't think anyone called for his firing here, just wouldn't be heartbroken if he left. He rebuilt the foundation to some degree and will leave the next guy in a better position than the one he inherited. It's a more attractive job this time around.

The question is, do you really trust this AD to hire someone competent, let alone significantly better than Mullen? We really stumbled into Mullen. This AD just like this board was clamoring for Frost or Kelly the last time around. Who do you really think is going to sweep in and keep the upward swing going? Outside of UM, who I think is more likely to coach a Quidditch team than come and coach football at UF, there really is no one without a significant risk out there.
