A good salesman that can display a vision of the future to kids, will be able to get around that. Facilities are a plus, and I'm not knocking facilities being an issue... but great recruiters can recruit with average facilities.

With this staff we need better facilities. But also a good salesman would have also sold why better facilities are needed now and not tomorrow.

Disappointing ESD thus far to say the least, but not disheartening. There are a lot of intriguing players in the transfer portal and if one thing is for certain, Mullen has proven that he isn’t afraid of bringing in experienced players via transfer to fill out the roster. He has his work cut out until Feb.

Simply put, Dan needs to get this team to the SECCG to have a chance at edging out UGAly for some recruits. And to get to the top 4 (Bama/Clemson/tOSU/LSU-for now) will require a playoff appearance. The selling point he's missing is being able to SHOW that being a Gator means playing for championships.

The hurdle to all of that is beating UGA to win the East. UGA is a lot better now than they were in the Spurrier or Meyer days, so it's not as easy for Dan's teams to do. But Kirby's teams are beatable, just need to have a defense that can get pressure on the QB and stop them on obvious rushing downs. We took care of business on the rushing downs this year, but not having Greenard and Zuniga killed us on the passing downs, along with not having a secondary that could find the most important receive Georgia had, Cager.

Start winning championships (even SEC), add some off-the-field recruiting staff, and break ground on facilities, and we'll see recruiting step up to the level that we expect.

Lots of folk here have the mental capcity of a gold fish. I am very critical of DMs recruiting, but I am happy with the recruits we got so far at LOS, especially at DT. We also seem to be upgrading at OL. DM has also been quietly keeping the QB room deep with no drama as we got AR who was designed to be a Mullen QB. Not gonna cry over WR or RB that we didn't get.

I don't think people really understand how terrible our facilities are compared to the rest of the SEC.

No one even pretends we are in it for Henderson anymore.

Gibbs, sad we cant pull players even from terrible teams.

Atrocious, even compared to Cowbell or Ky.

But some specific position groups (safety, LB, WR, RB) are complete failures while others at least pull some talent (Rush, CB, QB).
