I don't follow PSU recruiting. Seems people want to bring Seider back. How many 5* RBs has he recruited to PSU?:dunno:

I want to see a splash hire at an assistant position. I don't even hardly care if the guy is very good, as long as he has a name that recruits know. So a former NFL player, in other words. Or, a prominent Florida HS coach. Our coaching staff is very indistinguished. Nobody's ever heard of any of those guys.

I'll be honest. I see little tangible value in any position coach other than their ability to recruit. A good OC or DC is critical. Beyond that, give me young guys with energy that present well, can relate to HS athletes and are relentless closers. I can't recall a single NC or SB where I thought the difference was the tutelage of a DL, RB or LBs coach. The talented players will be fine regardless, and it's not as if their respective coordinators aren't involved. We have an OC. We have a DC(not a huge fan but not terrible). Just surround them with recruiting ability so they can scheme with actual talent.

Usually when coaches leave it’s because they’ve been encouraged to look elsewhere. Unless it’s something like a head-coaching position or a drastic upgrade from a position coach to a coordinator role with a P5 program.

Yea not buying it. Sunseiri went to Bama and Warren was "stolen" by UGA to help bring in Elam and other DBs. Doubt Mullen pushed them out.

CDM will be fired when one of these happens:
1) ticket sales fall significantly;
2) he totally and obviously looses the team;
3) the losing streak to UGA reaches eight.

Until then, you guys can quit bumping your gums.

And don't hold your breath on coaching changes. When CDM goes to a Chinese restaurant, the meal he orders is "Happy Family". At best he substitutes wonton soup for egg drop, so the absolute most you can hope for is losing English.

When you read that list you created and then how far the bar has fallen especially for number 3.

if they replace him with even an average recruiter that would be a huge win for us

Butters lost the team and administration. You do understand that I am not advocating for him to stay forever, I an just telling you dreamers to wake up.
I'm okay with firing Stricklin first. Actually I'm very much in favor of that.

there has to be someone inside or outside of the athletic department that knows basic math and can figure out who produces the revenue.

All this talk about firing Donnie millens and Stricks is ludicrous , those dudes aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. I bet Donnie gets minimum 6 years.

I'll say that I was pleasantly surprised by Turner. I was expecting dumpster fire and ended up with average or maybe a little better.

It truly amazes me that people are on here talking about firing Dan Mullen. Somebody needs to go but its not Mullen.

If it'll make some of you shut up about it, fire them all, I don't care. They're just coaches, hell, they're everywhere. They're all mercenaries, we can hire a new batch until they don't suit your fancy and you bitch and moan about them, too. I swear some of you must be bi-polar.
