Time to look back on the decade...
Just some memories that popped into my head (with an assist from Wikipedia).

What are your memories (good/bad) from the first half of the decade?

My general thoughts:
-Start of offensive doldrums
-John Brantley as starter? Really?
-Bye to Urban. Couldn’t handle the stress.
-Hello to Muschamp. Thought it was a good forward-thinking hire. My mistake!
-2012 season- we somehow win games with no offense (good ole Driskel). Faint dreams of SEC/BCS championships.
- Disastrous 2013 season (no Bowl game and a million injuries)
- Bye to Muschamp in 2014 (happened a year too late)

Top victories:
2010 Outback Bowl vs Penn state (Urban’s last game)
2011 Gator Bowl vs OSU (Muschamp first season)
2012- #4LSU #9USC #10FSU
2014- #9UGA

Other games:
2014 loss to USC after blowing late lead (led to saying adios to Muschamp)
2014 UK 3OT win (late snap?). Put into perspective that we could actually lose to them someday
2013 Georgia Southern loss (no words to describe ... not one pass yard against us!)
Wins vs Furman and ULL. Those games were way too close against crappy teams.

I’ll post for my thoughts for games from 2015-2019 soon.

Name and town if you wish to opine.

(and a million injuries)
A million excuses. He was hardly the only guy to lose his QB. SOS won a NC with 3 of his 5 starting OL out.

Chimp was beaten by a 1AA Ga South team who had more injuries than we did.

Excuses were the problem, not injuries. The offense stats hardly moved with "the injuries" nor did they get noticeably better the next year without "the injuries".

Name and town if you wish to opine.

Missouri vs. Florida - Game Summary - October 18, 2014 - ESPN

Almost forgot 2014 Gators vs Missouri.
Blown out even though we held them to approx 100 yards offense.

I’ll always remember getting wasted watching that game, threw up, and big hangover. I did that because I was so depressed and disgusted.

From that point forward I promised to never drink that much again.

This game taught me to no longer treat Gator football as “life or death.” I realized that even if we lost, that I should be more grateful for the blessings in life I’ve received.

If it were not for Ed's tragic passing ruining my holiday season, this thread certainly would have done it. But losing a guy who gave us his best info for so long makes 10 years of horrendous football seem not so important.

Why in God’s name would we want to relive any of it?

The lone bright spot before the last two seasons was beating UGay in 2014, and that’s been overshadowed by Mullening and Buttering against them the past three years.

Lots of weird stuff there.

Trey Burton, huh? Averaged about 150 yards a season rushing and 200 ish yards receiving. BEST year 350 yards rushing and 400 yards receiving (not in the same year). Best total yards in a season 550. My how far we've fallen.

The WR picks are shady as hell, too.

Let's look at leading WR receivers:
2010 Deonte Thompson 570 yards
2011 Debose 432 yards (holey hell I didn't know it was this bad under Chump)
2012 Dunbar 383 :lmao2: The Dipshyt effect in full force
2013 Patton 556 adn Dunbar 558 (actually improves with less Dipshyt)
2014 DRob 810
2015 Callaway 678 (The offensive EXPLOSION begins with the gurus Butters N Nuss)
2016 Callaway 721
2017 Cleveland 410
2018 Van Jefferson 503 (Sideways offense, baby!!!!)
2019 Jefferson 528 (Mo Sideways!)

That is one steaming pile of shyt decade for sure.

Yes, '78, mostly worse than my main man, #3 receiver Nafis Karim 1998, 552 yards (T McGriff 1357 yds, Travis Taylor 676, w fkkking drunk Doug Johnson throwing the ball).

Can't wait to see the numbers for the Lost Decade Part 2. Im sure they will be equally compelling.

Trey is one of just two Gators to throw a TD pass in the Super Bowl.

So? What does that have to do with his college "career". I do get the sense NFL careers are muddying the water with his picks. Of course, Trey only had one NFL year over 400 yards also, and 4 years under 300. :)

Do you think Brian Poole would have been listed if the list was taken at the end of his college career?

Urban’s last game was against Penn State, not Iowa.
