This is the kind of game where White should use our backups to get better. I still have the belief that the 3-point shot will double-cross us at crucial times. 3-pt shots teach nothing.
What is the players name on your avatar?
I can't remember the name of the only true gator on that 2012 team.
The odd thing about this season has been while we complain about the pace...we all hate slow ball...the bigger problem has been our shooting. Slow pace or not we have continually gotten open looks. We’ve missed layups, putbacks, midrange and 3’s even when wide open. This is the kind of team we want to see regardless of the opponent. We were playing much more freely and fast and actually hitting shots. KBJ doing what he has done all year with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Locke with 16 points and 10 rebounds and keeping his hot hand going from 3 going 4/9 from deep. Mike Hubert and Mark Wise commented on the radio how Locke started shooting 26% from 3 the first half of the season but the last 8 games or so he is shooting 46% from 3. Gotta make shots man and he has! KJ with 21 points and 6 rebounds and a number of thunderous dunks. Omar Payne with 11 points and 9 rebounds. Nemb very productive with a career high 13 assists. Gators were favored by 22 points and we won going away by 39 points, something we have all been hoping to see from this team besides the close wins or losses. Hopefully we can keep it going to begin conference play. Go Gators!!
Darrin Kitchens.
May he live forever.
White get mad after the game about giving up 63? all about the D you know.
Gak, Bassett, Blackshear, Payne, Jitoboh? I know you like taller players. Is that your ideal starting five? Who plays the point?Get Gak into his typical skill-level, whatever that is and our "talls" will be Gak, Bassett, Blackshear, Payne, Jitoboh. Now that can be a formidable inside offense & defense. More usable players = more "running allowed" due to resting guys frequently. Johnson + Blackshear is our core. Our backcourt has the speed to keep opposing defenses lagging behind the ball movement. IDK if White can stay out of their way?
