Bradshaw has to be on that list.

Bradshaw had his finest season in 1978 when he was named the NFL's Most Valuable Player by the Associated Press after a season in which he completed 207 of 368 passes for 2,915 yards and a league-leading 28 touchdown passes. He was also named All-Pro and All-AFC that year, despite throwing 20 interceptions.

Bradshaw won his second straight Super Bowl MVP award in 1979 in Super Bowl XIV. He passed for 309 yards and two touchdowns in a 31–19 win over the Los Angeles Rams.

For years, at least all through the 80’s, the discussion of best ever was between Bradshaw and Montana, with Bradshaw a touch ahead. Winning championships is the ultimate goal and the ultimate test.

It is to a certain degree. But they didn’t lead average teams to glory. They took teams loaded with all-stars and sprinkled with hall of famers.

IMO it is fair to compare them to the QB’s they beat that led similar type squads. But there are a few QB’s who would win championships With those squads. Marino would win championships with those teams. They would not have won championships with the Dolphins.

Hell Griese won championships with a formidable lineup. Is he better than Marino?

Marino should get some extra credit for being a crime fighter.

That was one of the greatest games and QB performances of all time. Incredible precision against maybe the best defense ever.

Ditka and Ryan went at each other pretty good in the halftime locker room. Players had to separate the two.

Anybody knocking Marino for not winning a Super Bowl should just stop posting about football, or even watching football. Nobody got the ball out of his hand faster, with incredible accuracy and plenty of arm strength. He was a pure quarterback, not a system quarterback, and he was amazing.

Marino didn’t run out of the pocket much. He had a real innate sense of where pressure was coming from and made quick decisions and often bought time with subtle sidesteps. He still made those throws without scrambling much. He also avoided sacks incredibly well given the state of the OL at times. His mechanics were impressive.

He didn't need to run out of the pocket. He released the ball so fast he could wait that extra second and he was so accurate he could find a receiver and enough space to throw a catchable pass. And just in case you're still in love with quarterbacks who pull down the ball and run, instead of staying in the pocket and passing, Marino set the record for the most games in a row without a sack - 19. He there 759 passes without a sack. Tell me again about quarterbacks who also run. There isn't a head coach on the planet who wouldn't rather have a quarterback who doesn't need to run.

I’ve just started in this past year. A buddy like Basil Hayden, I like Woodford, Bulleit Maker’s.
A baby. We have a pretty good bourbon threat elsewhere.

Stagg Jr is the best daily drinker out there. Woodford, Makers are decent, Bulleit is crap.

As unfair as it is quarterbacks are judged by Titles... and saying that no quarterback with less than two rings in the Super Bowl era belongs on the list. Dilfer has a ring, brad Johnson has a ring... there were four years where Farve might have had the most complete team in football, got one ring out of it.

1) Brady check
2) Montana check
3) Unitas check
4) Marino never won anything..........give me Bradshaw.
5) Graham
6) Elway
7) Favre
8) Manning One title? meh........his dad plays for a decent team HE is on the list.
9) Baugh
10) Starr

Kelly should be on this list more than Marino (and I'm a Dolphins fan)! Kelly owned the Dolphins and Marino which is why the Dolphins were only in one Super Bowl and the Bills had the chance to lose 4 in a row. By even just the "pure passer" rationale, Dan Fouts is just as much a candidate as Marino.

Also, where is Drew Brees? Brees is one of the purest passers of all time and he's got a Super Bowl ring, too (and maybe should have 2 after that debacle last year!).

Peyton Manning is definitely deserving of this list as he changed the way QB is played with the on field read and adjust model he so successfully employed for both teams. Also Peyton was one of the most clutch QBs of all time with an astounding record of 43 4th quarter comebacks! That's 9 better than Johnny Unitas and Tom Brady who tie for second with 34 and 10 better than Marino who comes in 3rd at 33. (Top 15 QBs with the most 4th Quarter Comebacks).

BTW, both Mannings have 2 titles. Eli is 2-0 and Peyton is 2-2 with 1-1 records with both Indianapolis and Denver.
