11 wins, top 10 and maybe top 5
Orange Bowl Champs
Another win over a ranked opponent
305 passing yards
244 rushing yards

By the way, in Spurrier’s last game, with Rex, was also an Orange Bowl win over an ACC team, Maryland, *edited to remove stat errors*. That Maryland team came into the game at #6 and finished at 11.

Mullen is doing a great job.

Somewhat of a disappointing win but it is the Orange Bowl and I'll take it and let Mullen & Company grow the program.

But next year they need to be able to run the ball like last year that will help Trask a lot and they need to play better defense.

Levy: Two widely respected head coaches come together...

 must not have asked for GCs opinion. Got a few guys here who think we have Clemson and Bama’s roster just continue to underperform because of our coaches. Also, same dudes complain because our talent is sub par due to recruiting losses.

At least we can all agree that English and Knox, at a minimum, need to go.

Get it right: We have a 3* roster of FAU/FIU castoffs AND they underperform because our coaches suck AND our coaches can’t call plays. Pay no attention to rankings or stats or performance.

I would GAF about losing to UVA. Lots of teams lose bowl games where they are heavily favored and not mentally into it. We came close and thankfully won.

And give UVA some credit. Perkins threw some huge passes with our guys all over him and their WRs made catches with our guys all over them. They prepared well for a month played their hearts out.

As for Grantham, 2019 was a top 10 defense (#9) vs. a top 10 difficulty schedule. We clearly lack depth across the field and talent at safety and LB. so how do you account for that if Grantham is so bad?

So the Orange Bowl trophy is literally a bowl of oranges, and Mullen is just chucking them at fans and players. This is peak Florida.

:britney:

I guess we should have just left them in the bowl for.....you know......ever.

Had to miss the 2nd half. Just Googled the score. 8 points?! That's it?! " Disappointed" does not describe my feelings right now.

11 wins. Running game away from national title contenders this year. Beat Miami and crushed FSU.

Two years ago losing record. Perspective.

HUGE win leading into next year. Puts a stamp on this season with 11 wins, only the 8th time in the history of Gators football. Not where we want to be but certainly where we want to be heading. Much better than the 4 wins we had only a couple of years ago. In Mullens and Trask we trust! Go Gators!!

Mullen is doing a great job.

Your stats are wrong. We passed for about 450 yards that game and had over 600 yards of total offense. We put up 56 points and blew Maryland out.

The first thing any good D coordinator tells his players is don't let the left tackle get open.

I see some are complaining about the win which I totally understand but its a win on the scoreboard with the points but do you actually consider it a win or no with how the defense played? Or would you say that we win but we actually lost the game? (Doing my part for 1M)

Hats off to Perine, the young man is a great Gator and we owe him total respect. However, the overall team performance was underwhelming to say the least. But 11-2 doesn't suck, and after the way we started off at Miami I'll take it and save the serious pissing and moaning for another day. Obviously. we are not an elite team, which should come as a surprise to no one. Whether or not DM takes it to the next level is very much an open question at this point in time. Unfortunately, if DM doesn't make some crucial changes, we are probably looking at the high water mark under this regime. I'm not ready to throw in the towel just yet, but I am deeply concerned about the current staff and the level of recruiting. That's all for now.
