Here’s some nice examples. I really like the third one. The implication is that LSU schemes guys to get open against good teams and UF doesn’t. That’s patently false. LSU is a significantly more talented team than UF but we were with them the whole time at their place at night. Our offense was humming right along. Couldn’t expect us to outtalent or win all the 1 on 1s so we must’ve done something right...

I'm a firm believer that we don't learn a whole lot from non-championship bowl games. Teams are who they are by that point. So you can be elated or disappointed, and certainly can be concerned with visible flaws. But generally, I don't read too much into performances, good or bad(see Franks v Michigan last year). Nothing changed for me last night. Still not a fan of TG, and we obviously have safety issues both on the field and on along the sidelines. It's the worst play there I've seen in my lifetime. All in all though, it was a scrappy team that gave us fits and we withstood them. Good to win, regardless of score, and move on.

Btw, I didn't catch all the Seniors coming out on Senior Day. So I'm curious, did Jeawon Taylor go straight out and greet people, or did he sort of meander toward the sidelines, at one point jogging backwards, arms flailing and tripping over media cords?

A three star Florida orange is better than a five star California orange. (This is actually true for avocados.)

Back in the 60's and 70's written in large letters on the side of the Lakeland Ledger building was the claim that "Polk County produces more citrus than all of California". I assume it was true then but doubt it still holds up.

Yes, that 1v1 post puzzled me, because I thought that the point to CDM's offense was to find where we had more bodies and exploit it.
It is. He tries to win the numbers game but Traz is talking about the VJ pass out wide where he beat a DB for a 50 yard gain. You see it in the NFL too but when UF does it that means Mullen can’t scheme or relies too much on it.

You constantly talk about how we get outcoached but never discuss where we do it. Odd. ALmost like you’re highlighting the negative to further your narrative.

once again, you're trying to change what was said. the main point of that thread was 'frequency', which then u try to make into a separate absolute.

we have tons of talent and guys like Pitts were dominating 1v1 matchups. A team like uga had to start bracketing him bc of that. I've also stated numerous times how hood Mullen does vs aranda, which goes back to how he's a legit playcaller and completely messes up your theory.

question since u know some much about scheme and play selection all of a sudden. ball park our % of plays that are built to scheme confusion (runs, bunches, etc) vs straight spread concepts of isolation. then do it for lsu. if u can't do that, then u cant be having this convo. if u could, u wouldnt be.
How is direct quoting you changing the narrative? Seems like I’m using your words as opposed to trying to find the implied meaning, something you do when you say folks are trying to be cool on message boards.

Good point. Whose rankings are you using? I place more emphasis on objective measures: research funding, SAT scores, etc. Anyone know those? Remember from half a century ago that an average UF physics student transferred to UVA. They were slow to accept him and we were highly offended saying that we had the obviously better department. UF seems to be forgetting that it is a public university while Mr. Jefferson's University was never aware that it was.
US News.

And I don’t dispute your characterization of their arrogance. Most (not all) UVA grads are insufferable.

I guess it's a good thing we didn't get a bowl pairing with a Wisc., Mich. ND or other national powerhouse...could have turned out embarrassing ….wonder if we impressed any S. Fl recruits....lol

What does last year have to do with a God awful defensive performance against a team that shouldn't have been ranked....Had we played Whisky, Mich, ND , Baylor or PSU last night we would have gotten raped.....

No they would not. Turn in your Gator card. I think the Big10 has a special going on.

No reason to assume a bad defensive effort against a team we took seriously as we have shown we would do against a Michigan, etc.

I don’t have the time to scroll through your posts but I‘d bet the ratio of critical to complementary posts is 5:1, if not more. There’s a reason the majority of the board believes you’ve got a personal issue with Mullen.
you can understand my confusion when these two are a few posts apart, right?
Got me there - but doesn’t mean I was wrong ;)
