As much as I would like to get excited by the bowl games, I have little interest outside of the final 4. I am appreciative of the guys who are playing that could easily sit, I also understand the view of sitting out. Either way, I just do not think that each team treats the games the same as they might an important regular season game.
And with the 4 game or less redshirt rule, I got to thinking that maybe UGA is in the best spot of any of the teams not in the final 4. Why? Well they are playing without 10 or 20 so called regulars or however many it is. What an opportunity to give 10 or so guys who played little to none all year the chance to play 60+ snaps against a decent opponent, gain some experience, yet maintain all of your eligibility if you want to stay another 3 or 4 years? Granted it is just one game, but being that a team like a Minny or Baylor, or even a UVA or some team that never goes to any bowl above say the Sun or AstroBlubonnet Bowl, why not give all those redshirts an entire game?
