BINGO.
I’d take X-Hendo over Toney all day. What’s everyone infatuation with him? First of all Toney better stay because his tape this year will have him as an undrafted FA. Yes he’s explosive, but he has not lived up to his “Percy” role in any way shape or form. It’s easy to be the best playmaker on a team full of poop playmakers. This year really showed what having more athletes does to his statistics. He’ll stay, which is excellent for us don’t get me wrong. The more playmakers the better.

Honestly, if he leaves I could see it as having an excuse this year for production due to injury because if he comes back and and gets -1 yards a game. He most certainly won’t be drafted.
Toney couldn't even hold Percy's cleats. He is all talk barely showed anything on the field. Sure he's made plays that makes you say wow buy then he's missing for 3 games. He needs to come back he hasn't shown much to NFL but he has potential but he's just a late round pick for someone hoping his rawness will turn into something. He's worse than tavon Austin in terms of how can you even use him in the NFL.

Smart decision by Grimes; and Toney should stay too for the same reasons. It's going to be a DEEP WR draft this year with at least 5-6 projected to go in the first round and many other explosive guys in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

Grimes would do well to have one year where he's one of the key WRs and not just one in the rotation--and especially with a good QB in Trask coming back to get him the ball. Toney is an elite playmaker...but he's missed multiple games every season with injuries and isn't the most reliable pass-catcher either. With Swain and Hammond gone, it'll be his chance to show his abilities.

Has Toney ever caught a pass beyond the line of scrimmage? He is dangerous both to our opponent and to us. He's as likely to turn a gain into a loss as to break a big play. I feel confident he wouldn't have scored on the reverse Hammond had vs UK or the pass Swain scored on vs Auburn. He has good moves and quickness but I don't think he has elite speed, he's a poor route runner, and I don't think I've ever seen him block. I'm not begging him to leave but I'm not begging him to stay either. Mullen gives him as many designed plays as anyone on offense and in my opinion he's not worth it. I think we were better when he was hurt.

I'll give Toney that he's a good Gator and not causing any issues. Hopefully next year he makes the big leap.

It is good news but guys like Grimes and Toney are plentiful. Is anyone surprised? Grimes is probably a late pick at best as well as Toney If Toney does make it at the next level I see it as a special teamer/3rd down back.

This is total bullshat.

Nobody will ever be another Percy Harvin, but we can talk about speedy, shifty players being used in plays, blocking schemes that Percy got.
Toney can certainly do better than Swain as a punt returner. Toney's Gator value is not connected to whether he can make it in the NFL. I was very thankful for & excited by the nation's #1 punt returner, Brandon James, an NFL bust. Hopefully next year we have several players who can create breakaway gains. But in Toney, the coaches know already that he is an explosive weapon. Just use him. Remember he's the most accurate passer recruit ever at UF. Use him.

If you thought Toney was dynamic on TV, you should have been at FF to watch him break a few FSU ankles on the pitch and run. The guy is a freak. I want him back.

I can think of two plays this year, that were positive. Other than that, lots of dancing. Every time he touches the ball, I am waiting for him to remove his helmet and cost us 15 yards. If he were to leave, it would cost us a few trick plays and that's it.

What? Toney had trouble catching the punts. His route running is terrible. That's why we have to throw the screens to him.

Yep. I thought Grimes would be a 4th round or lower guy. I really want Hammond, Swain and Cleveland to have great careers but don’t see any going higher than 5th round if lucky. Van should be no lower than 3rd but weirder things have happened (Gilly) and Toney is an enigma. Someone will take a chance on him but he’s not your typical receiver. He will come down to the system that drafts him.

Smart move by Grimes. He knows that he'll be the top WR next year and can really improve his draft stock. Doesn't hurt that with Trask at the helm, he knows that we'll be slinging the ball quite a bit.

As far as Toney is concerned, losing 4 WRs is plenty. I prefer to not lose more, especially since this recruiting class is lacking WRs.

With Grimes returning, we'll have plenty of play makers at WR next season. Not as stacked as this year, but maybe more talented overall. Grimes, Copeland, Toney, Pitts and Wells... Oh My. Trask needs to work on his deep throws. He's going to need em.
