I don't know... can we get a Miami baseball player to call him names just for good measure?

You beat me to it

I still can’t believe that Fields pulled that off.
Yet another sign that the tenure of the NCAA is coming to an end

What is it about Mullen recruiting reeling in 5 star transfers yet can't close with high schoolers?

It’s because we don’t offer “benefits “ like free daycare I guess.
Free daycare........what a load of crap

From CBS Sports

He will be classified as a redshirt sophomore due to the four-game redshirt rule that counts toward his 2019 season but will need a waiver from the NCAA to be eligible in 2020.

If he is eligible in 2020, he'll join a Gators offense that will be looking to replace leading rusher Lamical Perine, who rushed for a team-high 676 yards and six touchdowns last season. No other running back on Florida's roster had more than 305 rushing yards during the 2019 season.

From FL Roster (Att / Yards / Avg / TDs):
Perine (Sr)
= 132 att / 676 yds / 5.1 ypa / 6 TD
Pierce (R So) = 54 / 305 / 5.6 / 4
Davis (So) = 34 / 86 / 2.5 / 1
Clement (R Fr) = 3 / 48 / 16.0 / 0
Wright (Fr) = 12/ 24/ 2.0 / 0

So does Lingard slide in atop that list, or below Pierce or Davis? Does that mean we lose any of those lower guys, and does it matter down the road?

If Tate Martell and Justin Fields got to play immediately everybody should be able to.

Can't see all of them staying, but a lot depends on whether a waiver is granted and when we find out. I can't see a guy like Wright sticking around for a 2nd full year on the bench behind Pierce, Davis, and Lingard--he'll just transfer out (and might even if there is no waiver). It would make the most sense for him if he doesn't have the best spring and jump someone else.

I'm confident that Pierce is ready to be the signature RB though: he's a tough runner and just as able to bust into the 2nd level for long gains. Davis has not played a ton post-injury and hasn't showed the explosiveness of his freshman season--but he's good catching the ball out of the backfield and if he regains that first step, could be a valuable change of pace to Pierce.

No idea where Lingard slots in...if he's fully healthy, he seems to be a combination of Pierce's power with Davis' speed...so you'd have to figure he would be at the top of the list; but we shall see.

Competition breeds champions though.

In this video he has another gear, the old adage applies, "if we even, I be leavin"!

Rumor out of the 305 is that he has lost a step or more, may be damaged goods.

Still, positive vibes..

Seems like with transfers, they recruit the school and with all that out of high school bs deflated they see UF as the best.
Top destination GatorNation.

It's like this Board has multiple personalities...

Don't be kacky.

what’s the story on Clement and his 16 ypc average?

I remember his one 40 yard run. He hit that central logjam pile, churned nowhere for a couple of seconds, then it dawned on him to bounce it outside for an open-field 40 yards. That's done too few times by RBs.

For those who followed recruiting when this guy was signing, is he a legitimate 5 star RB when healthy or is he a Steve Shipp type 5 star?
