Pierce has had multiple concussions, Davis/Wright injuries and Clement is a transfer risk. You don't ever want to not recruit a position. Waiting til next year isn't a good strategy
I agree that not at least trying to bring a solid 4* HS RB in this cycle is probably a mistake (even with Lingard in the fold), but I wasn't aware of the "multiple concussions" thing with Pierce. The facts that Davis and Wright are coming off old knee injuries, and that Clement hasn't really seen the field enough to be considered much of a factor at this point, are legitimate concerns. This is currently a very good class but landing a Clayton or a Gibbs, along with a solid 4* OL and AW, would make it border-line excellent. There might have to be a little "processing" to make all that happen - but the portal does in fact run in both directions.

He doesnt know what he is talking about. Never have we "signed our full alotment".

Most of these toolbags dont even know which of the three rules they are talking about.

And dont understand that all three are independent.

We signed several small classes years ago and every EE since then has counted for the year before.

Hell if we ever signed anywhere near our full alotments we wouldnt be fielding teams of 65-75 scholly players and on permanenent Fooley probation.

29 is the limit that bumps into the 85 max, but assumes we keep all current schollies (like CJ Mc Williams and several other fifth year turds who should be tossed overboard) and bo one else leaves.
I’m sure its him that doesn’t know what he’s talking about

Guys Omar is full of shyt like always. Nothing he ever says should be taken seriously, he should mocked unmercifully for being a Taggart nut swinger until he goes away again.

Yeah yeah yeah, he has twotter so he is a genius and #SecretCommits.

We didnt take a.class last year if.alone for the reason that 5 of those guys didnt make it to campus and become initial.counters plus several were EEs who.counted back.

So those who signed on signing day (minus EE countbacks) are limited to 25.

A separate count is initial counters. obviously most of the kids who signed became an official counters but several never made it to campus and didnt not cost us an initial counter. I forget the exact number now, but I think it was five.

For an example Wardrick Wilson was on last years 25 signees but not on last years IC. He will be on this years IC but obviously not on this years year's signees.
Transfers are innthe same boat.

Goofy Corndwag just jumbles the two together and says w signed 25 plus two transfers equals 27. It is two different counts that happen to have the same 25 limit.

Corndwag is a fvkktard.

There's a reason he is a near minimum wage worker who just hopes the universities put out nice hors d'oeuvres spreads.
I just want to commend you for cutting back on the drinking. Honestly, I know it's hard. But you did it.

Your spelling of small party snacks was impressive!

And your post, #14660, was almost flawless!

Do we? We'll have Pierce, Davis and Clement as our top 3 next season. I forget the name of #4... If we can improve the OL and/or get rid of Knox, we'll get 2 solid RBs in 2021.
And what, based on the last two recruiting classes makes you so certain we'll get two quality backs next year? (And for that matter, what indications have you seen that Knox is going to be let go?) In three classes, UF has signed three backs; two of whom, Pierce and Iverson, were recruited by Seider. Since Seider left, we have signed one back; the #21 overall back in his class, Nayquan Wright. I'm not worried about next season; it's the season after that which worries me. Meanwhile, our principle rival has signed four backs over that period (and may add another), including three five stars, and two backs from Florida. Hell, they are, if rumors are to be believed, turning away a five star back in this class over character issues.
On the recruiting front, I am not a dumper like some others and think overall this is a very good class - assuming they all qualify - and is also fairly well balanced one (other than RB of course).

Sign him up to-day! I realize he might be a liability in coverage, but he tackles better than any safety currently on our roster, not to mention the amazing closing speed.
That was just some Law on Corndog violence

Folks, I believe @swampdonkey is the reliable resource on the scolly count issue. There are some nuances (really, they are clear cut rules) the sports reporters don’t seem to know/care about. Law, OTOH, does care enough to have read the rules. He did, after all, graduate from “rule school”. Not a dig bc several other GCMB’ers and I did, too.

P.S. It can be a pretty well-paying gig, but I don’t recommend it. Not a great way to spend one’s career. To quote my favorite Bama fan, “I really can’t stress that enough, man”.

Gervon posting pics with him and Z. Evans - in so many words, saying he’s recruiting him... off field issues obviously, worth the risk if he wants on board IMO. Thoughts?

So, are you unclear about the definition of “if?” I have no idea if this year’s pathetic OL performance scared away the RBs vs knox just unable to close, or even start for that matter... And yes, I’m guilty of wishful thinking that DM will recognize how badly he needs to fire knox.

It's a projection. I was wrong. Boy you old guys really have a hard on for me. I was completely wrong about taggart and fsu's talent level. We needed a lot of luck these last 2 years to win our games. We were extremely close to winning 6 games in 2018. The team didn't fold. I still say mullen's ceiling is 8-10 wins a year til he fixes his staff. Currently he's 4-5 vs teams who finish in. The top 25. 2-0 vs FSU and 1-3 vs LSU/UGA.
Wow your predictions really suck. With fans like you who needs Dawg fans?
