This guy wants a waiver because his family is suing UGA. His dad had an accident w' a folding chair and may have possibly lost a finger! Cant make this up.

But I think NCAA wont fight any lawsuit right now, so he gets his waiver.

No, I mean NCAA wont fight anyone who sues for a waiver for any reason. They have no real way of justifying why kids CANT move schools like every other student on the planet.

They didnt open it up so much as there has never really been a legally justification. The answer is basically "bc we dont want them to transfer and the schools pay my salary."

The next thing to go is the cap. UF wants to give a kid a scholarship and the kid wants to go to UF but the NCAA says no bc they want to force kids to Ball State or Geographical Iowa instead. There is no acceptable legal justification.

Not to mention the fact that the transfers in almost every other sport don't have to sit out a year.
