Oh, I could definitely see the whole thing going south at any point. It’s an odd fit for sure. And while yes, Leach is generally an odd fit anywhere, places like Lubbock and Pullman(so?) are ok being under the radar type programs. It really seems like Msu is not settling and trying to vault themselves to an upper echelon program. When he gets abrasive, it could get really entertaining.
As long as he fills the seats and keeps those big donor bells a-ringing, they'll be satisfied.

I recall comments from Grantham mid season that the Safeties split their time roughly 50/50, because he felt they were all playing at the same level and wanted to keep them fresh. Meanwhile, many of us wondered aloud why it wasn’t 80/20 in favor of giving Stiner and Taylor more bench time, for obvious reasons.

But if we beat UGA, then what do we say? Guessing the same thing as it will cost us elsewhere. I think the Kirby era is about to implode.

I don't see how they can afford that unless they don't plan on paying Mootehead's buyout.

Was that first statement pointed at me? Because I’m not the one making absolute statements that leave no room for error. And no, there haven’t been a ton of those statements, but a few folks have, I think in the post Orange Bowl comments.

Life is messy and proclaiming it’s championship or bust is a bit unrealistic with so many moving parts. I want championships, too. I just know we’re not where we need to be and I’m hoping we ride the mo we’ve created to eventually get there.

And I really hope we move Dean to S, because he’s not getting it done at Nickel.

Could you imagine their fans in that scenario? With their recruiting, there’s literally no excuse. Losing one OL coach shouldn’t explode the whole team. And as Muschamp showed, an elite defense isn’t enough. You have to score points.

Gotcha. I wasn’t sure and it’s so easy to lose context on a message board, especially with some of the rapid fire conversations here.

You realize they get the same SEC Network money as we do, right?

But they actually spend their football money on football, instead of gymnastics and badminton.

They supposedly have nice facilities.

That said, Mississippi does not have near the money Florida has. Florida...the State...does not like to spend it.

Stop being a baby.

I thought one of your primary complaints about Strickland was that he focused too much on baseball at MSU? I’m sure they’re still dropping coin on those projects.

One of the keys to being a message board hero is a very short memory of the things you have put in writing previously. Not the Donkey specifically, but yes this time specifically.
