We should all be thankful to Fromm for exposing Kirby as a lying, manipulative and (mainly) doofus of a head coach. No one has ever done less with more, and Fromm helped the entire college football world see that. It’s going to dwag Kirby for the rest of his coaching life.
Despite the 1 national title (ironically earned after 2 reg season losses including a home loss to end the season) I would have to say Les (with more) Miles still has him beat. That dude had top 5 talent and was mired in pure mediocrity the last 5 years he was at LSU. Kirby sucks no doubt, but he isnt raking in top 5 classes and going 7-5 and 8-4 with them. At least, not yet anyway, but we can all hope.

#truth, how many dudes from those LSU teams are/were in the league.

So this Newman’s parents thought it’d be smart for their kid to leave the safe confines of the ACC and a known offensive HC, to spend his final year of eligibility and/or draft exposure playing for a team that just lost its entire OL, two best RBs, and has coaches that couldn’t find a way to get Justin Fields in a game plan except for a fake punt on 4th and 11.

They must be fiends with the Hillinskis.

This is a good point. Newman is better than Fromm physically. His overall talent might not be able to overcome Coley's poor playcalling. And the defenses he will face next season will be much, much better.

Not that it matters but say a player has graduated and wants to transfer elsewhere b/c he still has eligibility remaining. Does that player have to be enrolled at his new school in the spring or can he wait to come to school in the summer? I get the idea of having the experience of spring ball but why can't he sit out the semester, take classes in the summer and begin then? I ask b/c I have not heard anything about Lerch. My feeling is that Lerch would not start at QB for almost any P5 team nor would he start for a lot of other D 1 teams. But I wish him luck even if he chooses to stay with football.

I guess I’m not the only one that’s been hitting the sauce today .

you do realize he’s ranked a better pro prospect than Fromm? If he has the same kind of year next season, Newman will go first round.

Yeah one is about to be one of the first four QBs drafted and no one outside of Wake Forest (wherever the fck Wake Forest is) has ever heard of the other. Not to mention Kirby obviously has no idea how to use a dual threat guy. He just let arguably the most talented DT QB since Cam skip right out of Athens.

Well if history is any forecaster, Joe Lee Dunn Jr. will make this kid at least look like a 1st rounder for 1 weekend if he is indeed playing at UGA.

To have the same kind of year, he would have to throw the ball.. He will be in Athens...
