Essentially we could say the same damn thing about our class as well with Lingard in the fold. Why not take this risk. People who actually would rather us take NO rb in this class outside of Lingard than risk this kid who is a consensus 5* talent (That’s a top 25 overall player in the country!) just to save a counter make absolutely zero sense to me.
As I see it, with our 5* Lingard already on board, we too have the luxury of taking the risk on Evans and I guarantee the staff feels the same.

Sites have Washington as a five star TE, however calling him slow and needing lots of work with routes and pass catching ability, “but man is he BIG”
Um, yeah I’ll take Shorter and worse case scenario he moves into a TE roll if his weight’s an issue and we land Washington via portal in under 2 yrs.

Not quite what I meant. I meant UGA has the luxury to turn down a 5* b/c they already have one in the class. And I wouldn't get too excited about calling Lingard part of this class. If he has a good season he's gone. If Evans has a good season, he's got two more years.
