At least our only 2* is a kicker. In addition to the unrated JUCO RB, aTm has a 2* DT and a 2* Ath, which really hurts their average when you factor for the entire class.

math isn't your thing huh?

if you add up the ratings instead of the Stars it will not be.

Don't be dumb. If most of our recruits are low four stars and most of theirs are high four stars their average star rating should be higher, instead it is significantly lower. The only explanation is that they have really higher star rating on the top end, and much lower star rating on the bottom end than us.

I did get a frontal lobotomy when I went through med school, but doubt a rusty lawyer would do any better.

Yes, yes, yes. Alabama sent out 800 offers and any of those kids that we landed, we "STOLE" from Alabama. Youre right.

You’re right. I mean, after all... we only sent out 25-30.... Give it a rest swamp ass. They all send out hundreds of offers. Yet somehow you magically know which ones are committaable. And it’s no coincidence every time we get one, you definitively declare the other schools didn’t give commutable offers... sure. Right.

I don't understand the panic, we got horses in the stables. Next year is a necessity, but this year....what difference does it make?
Nobody is really panicking.

But some of us arent playing the skinflute either.

Some just might be mockking those who do, maybe, those who just weeks were claiming e were getting two 5* and maybe thinking about taking a third blue chip RB bc crootin was going so well.

Two possible reasons instantly come to mind:

1. The overall talent level we have at some positions isn't very high; and I wouldn't be surprised to see some of these touted recruits come in and earn a starting spot over what we have. An immediate upgrade in some areas of need could make this a very dangerous team next season.

2. We need quality depth, badly. If we don't sign talented recruits who can at least get some experience and contribute this season, we will be in serious trouble next year (Safety in particular).

Speaking in terms of RB only....I think our depth is sufficient. I understand always wanting more/better pieces of puzzle, but I just don't think its a "sky is falling" environment in the RB room.

For those of you who hate Grantham, seems like its only the fans and would cut pretty deep with our recruits and players

You realize the players were heartbroken about mustsuck and the zooker right? I'm sure there's a decent argument to be spun about keeping fat todd. This aint one.

Oh, ok. I hear ya. I was speaking in general about the team as a whole, but I get your point. However, with regard to RB, I stand by my first point. I don't think we have much talent at that spot, and it would be nice to see someone special come in and take it over. I'm hoping the UM transfer finds a way to live up to his prior hype, but even if he does, he likely won't be here very long. So, it'd be great to land one of these young studs who look ready to run, and help keep us from having a hole at that position in our near future.

Though with the way Dan prefers to use his QB and RB, I'm not sure the RB position really matters after Trask is gone. I'd just like to get a stud back there now, to maybe force him to rethink some things about his overall philosophy.
