Girth?

I kid, I kid. Having Bell and Strong there as analysts is a good thing.
Maybe he’s being brought in for the OL. He’s got a lot in common with them.

Great point. @Swamp Donkey has claimed we only run a horizontal, x/y offense. Adding Bell to the mix gets us to a more vertical, x/y/z 3D offense.

I was there too. And it did seem like it was in slow motion. I must have said "hurry, hurry, hurry " at least a 100 times in my head. It looked like he would be tackled before making it. (I may have been a little buzzed at the time)

Buzzed is an understatement for me at any football game in the 80s. I didn’t breath as that play unfolded. It took so long that this resulted in a double whammy of oxygen deprivation that killed off the part of my brain that can make sense of Donkeys posts.

Though not OC, at least it's his dream-job location. Wonder if Kerwin can be a good recruiter? We need everything to go on the upswing.

No doubt Kerwin has a sharp offensive mind, but I have always wondered if he had the energy to pound the recruiting trail like elite programs must. In this role, no travel & focus on scheme and personnel seems a good fit. And if he talks to recruits on their visits, I expect he will do well.

I was also there (as an undergrad). Very hard hitting game and the comeback was epic. I was in the East stands around the 20 yard line so got a great view of the clincher. It really did look like it was unfolding in slow motion. Gutsy performance.

That play is definitely in the upper echelon of my favorite great Gator plays. Up there with Ike’s stop and pop vs FSU. Harvey’s cock block. Jones falling backward catch vs Miami. Tebow jump pass vs LSU. Major Wright plastering Oklahoma receiver. Etc.

Minor correction:
Jarvis Moss had the cock block

Bells 2 point conversion run to beat Auburn . T h e s l o w e s t f i v e y a r d r u n e v e r .

Good Lord, the passes on that drive. Gutsy call by Hall on the conversion. Is that Mick giving a young OH MY as Bell dives in? Seems like eons ago.

This thread title is total bllshtt.........Kerwin is a gator icon and what he did at UF is amazing and he beat the dwags when we needed to beat them in a bad way. And beat Auburn on a bad leg........... His record and career at UF desverves much better than this nasty title..........I would expect this from whorechant or dwagvent.........not a gator forum............embarrassing.........

He can work with QBs in the off season

He smoked it as HC at Valdosta State.

USF had serious discipline issues...he did not have time to get it corrected.

And what's the obsession with his weight? As long as he can get to the press box.

And he's a Gator...

Hey SeaBee, is it okay he once cheered for USF?

He was paid to coach there. Much different than cheering for tigah then disappearing for once your preferred team beat our beloved Gators. You are not fooling anyone. We know you are just loving al the Ogre interviews.

This is stunning. It’s like he’s jogging. I had to check and he is a full half second slower than Peyton Manning. I wasn’t sure that was possible for a 22 year old non-offensive lineman.
I just found this on YouTube. There is a 9 second video of his 40. there isn’t a lot of wasted video prior or after his run. He’s slow as fuuuhhhhh

To me this hire is a sign that Mullen is all in in Trask. Bell's offense is a better fit for Trask's skillset, so I foresee (hope) that Bell will help Mullen adjust his offense to better utilize Trask's strengths.

Calling BS. No such thing exists, except maybe in Donk's brain (and not sure even there).

This was just posted on footballscoop:

Florida: We’re told Kerwin Bell will not be joining the staff.
