This does happen a lot. Implies two things, 1) not enough talented players compared to the number of available scholarships, and 2) great players want to play with other great players.

I don’t know why, but women’s basketball is a niche sport in my mind. It is almost unwatchable even when played at the highest level. In comparison women’s tennis, gymnastics, swimming, diving, track, volleyball, softball and soccer are all fantastic to witness when elite athletes are involved.

I find women’s tennis, gymnastics, and volleyball are typically better than the men’s as spectator sport. But women’s basketball sucks in comparison. Big time.

I have always stated that the Popularity of a woman’s sport is directly proportional to the desire of men to bang the participants

Speaking of... I was watching women's speed skating last night and dayum... a couple of those gals are caliente.
Especially with the muscular legs, etc in the tight outfits.
Not as burly as I thought they'd be...

They changed their pants from the ones below...

Almost?

Women couldn't be built worse for a sport, really. Maybe it's because the sports requires so much jumping and leaping, and women cannot do that at all.

Beach volleyball, hell yes.
Indoor volleyball, mostly yes*
Softball, meh.
Gymnastics, mostly meh.
Swimming, meh.
Diving, mixed bag.
Sprinters, mostly yes.
Soccer, some yes - some hell no.
Skaters, yes.
Skiers, can’t tell.

*once ended up in an elevator with several of Vandy’s volleyball players in uniform. Legs for days.

The "two-handed chest heave," which is unique to women's basketball and junior high PE class, has to be deployed on any shot beyond the foul line. It makes them look like children out there. An elementary school pick-up game would hold my attention longer.

I’ve perfected the fat-white-dude 3-point set-shot. You couldn’t skip a dollar bill under my kicks if you tried.

I also had a coach tell me ‘You’re not that quick, but at least you can’t jump.’

No they aren't which is why they tear ACL's 7x greater rate than men and run a budget in the red.
