Been thinking of getting me one of those new fangled contraptions....

Anyone have any advice or experience with air fryers?

I got one for $5 from meh.com a few months ago. It's fantastic, although we only used it once to make some air fried sweet potato french fries. If you like fried food, get a cheap one on sale and try it out.

They’re ok if you want a small batch of something fried but no where near as life changing as an insta pot.

I don't have either, but was thinking about getting an air fryer. What is better about an insta pot?

They do different things but if you don’t have either, you’ll get way more use out of an insta pot.

I love to cook and I’m stuck in my ways, so was very hesitant when my wife got one. We now have two (one is MASSIVE), and I have used both at the same times.

It’s a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice maker, etc all in one. I can make a fork tender pot roast in 90 minutes in one pot. Before the odds were against fork tender 60% of the time.

You can boil eggs super fast and they are easier to peel.

Rice comes out perfect every time and mashed potatoes are way faster.

Was against the insti pot initially but y'all are making me want to start thinking about beginning to consider the idea of discussing a purchase of one with the wife...maybe.

This for an air fryer, not an insta pot ;-).

Not knocking air fryers at all, have one and use it. From my experience, they are great for individual portions.

When I have a volleyball team wanting fried food, I go to my deep fryer. If I’m frying food for my family, oil in a pan. If I want something for just me, I’ll use the air fryer.

I’m old and yell at clouds. Only two of us left in the house. And completely agree that they don’t hold enough for a family of say 4 except for fries.

It's basically a countertop convection oven. Zero difference. Get the largest capacity one you can. We've been playing with ours for several months. Perfected bacon and it's now our favorite way. Mainly because the cleanup is so easy. Ours is large enough to cook a whole pack. Wings turned out just fine. It's incredible at re-heating left overs.

Just got one for christmas and it is fantastic...we use it a lot more than i expected. Only thing i'd recommend is getting a large one because they aren't very big. Ours is kind of small and have to cook in batches sometimes but it's still worth it. Delicious and VERY fast cooking.

Can you send me the brand and model number of yours please? Thanks!

 dick. That was this highest power they had 6 months ago. If they had 2.1 gigawatts.... I’d get that one!
