Monty Python was ridiculous on purpose and Pat has no choice in the matter. Also, MP was really funny on occasion and really quite clever. Pat is neither of those things.

I try to tell myself it’s a spoof...then I read his articles and it’s confirmed...the intro music and his inane rambling are hilarious...I listen to a lot of podcasts though at work

Is there anything in the world funnier than the ministry of weird walks skit or the spectacle of John Cleese goose stepping around and throwing Hitler salutes as Basil Fawlty? That was some side splitting shytt for sure.

Yeah I like his podcasts and find the whole team informative but that voice and his mannerisms "Sure, sure" make me want to take an ice pick to the ear canal.
